Critical Review
Bought my 97 about 7 years ago with 30K mi., 129K now with a blown head gasket. Beautiful styling and very comfortable, sound system is good except volume control is in and out. Took it on many long road trips. Very comfortable and roomy - I napped in the back seat on breaks at work. Holds a lot of stuff, huge deep trunk. It was hard to get used to the cab over engine design - I ran into stuff alot. Ran great with very few problems until about 100K mi. Since then all repairs are 300-1000+. This vehicle has problems with the front end suspension parts, tie rod bushings etc, it's a time consuming fix$$$. Be sure to change your radiator fluid, stay on top of all cooling & oil change maintenance - aluminum engine warps. Replaced radiator, water pump, tensioner (inside water pump) & all belts. I replaced struts, strut mounts & more, then alternator and battery. 2 weeks later the head gasket blew. Because the engine head is aluminum, I now have a lovely piece of junk, or a $1500-2000 rebuild and take my chances on the trans, etc. I don't know... Everything still works, leather looks like new, paint is fading on hood. Don't think I'll buy a Chrysler again. We enjoyed this car though, kind of sad to let it go.

Great on gas and affordable on insurance and very reliable and very comfortable to be in and handles amazing
Radio did not make any sounds and it sits too low to the ground.
I have had it for almost 5 years bought it with 76000 miles and no issues and now it has 86000 and minor things. Like the plastic quarter panels dry rotted and keeps chipping off everywhere. Only thing I had a problem with the factory Adobe audio system would never play any sounds I replaced the radio and all the speakers work great. Only downside is it sits too low to the ground wished it sat like 4 to 7 inches off the ground. The bottom of the car hits and scraps and but bottom is very durable tho. I have never had to replace anything too important. Original belt since I bought it. Struts needed to be replaced and the inner tie rod bushings need to be replaced but 9 out of 10 would recommend for anyone that needs a good car to get to point a to b and it never overheats unless you don't keep any eye on the fluids. If you replace parts when they go bad or start to go bad will make it last or at least keep it from messing other things up.
Very fun to drive
2 tiny hardly-detectable scratches
1st owners, elderly couple, took excellent care of the car. 2nd owner, my brother, did the same. He then had it repainted for me
Drives great
Engine is very powerful
We have loved this car, we have repainted it and it has new tires. We have hardly taken it over 200 miles.
There is a oil leak that I had fixed but it still leaks
fun to drive, decent fuel economy, reliable
steering wheel can be heavy at low speed
The best Chrysler ever, if you want an used American car, this is it. It is reliable, fuel efficient and fun to drive. I still get 28mpg on the high way. The engine is very strong, mine is 1996 LXI model with a 3.5L V6 with 214hp and 225ft lb of torque. The paint is still very shiny, I expect it to last another 10 years.
smooth, nice lines, has been dependable.
rusted along the bottom under the doors,
I bought the car used from a family member as they were wanting a newer car, and I always wanted it because of its comfort, look, and I knew it had never been abused. Since I've owned it, I have had to replace the starter, the a/c unit no longer works (I don't care), there's rust under the doors, a leak in the trunk, and a sensor for the transmission went bad right after I bought it, but that was an easy fix. Currently, I'm having the ATC replaced as it no longer works. Other than that the car has been fabulous to drive to and from work. The engine is extremely quite, and the oil has been faithfully changed from the very beginning. The interior cloth is above superior as there is no fading, rips, and very easy to clean. If Chrysler could make this car again, I'd buy it again. Truly its a pretty car, and other than the rust from Ohio winter salted road, that silver metallic paint is still beautiful. Smooth sailing again, I wish it could be new again. Also, the key remote is still on the same battery.
leather seats, easy driving and roomy inside
can't complain about this car in any way
This has been a very comfortable car to ride in and to drive. Infact it has been my favorite car in the last 20 years. It has been a 2nd car and well maintained, hence the low mileage. It does have some scratches and small dents but after almost 20 years, it is in really good condition. If you like roomy, easy to drive and easy to get in and out of cars, this would be a nice choice. This car will probably go at least another 100000 miles. It needs a new windshield, the winter freezing cracked it.
Really Nice interior and exterior, comfortable
Breaks down and runs poorly
I love he interior and the exterior design and color. However the car breaks down a lot and gets 10 MPG in the city. Good first car but not a very reliable or well running car.
