Rented this gorgeous vehicle in California with only 3k miles on the odometer. In about 2 weeks, drove 5,000 miles across several states. Almost all highway, with maybe 5 miles of unpaved roads. Four people and 4 carry-on pieces of luggage. Car is very comfortable. The ride is good, given the size. A lot of space. The glass roof is amazing for sight-seeing. It is huuuuuuuuge. I love everything about this car, especially the numerous outlets for devices. Two problems: Carplay integration isn't perfect. One time the screen became unresponsive and jittery. Had to turn off the car and let it cool. Also, no built-in navigation. Not cool for when you are beyond phone service. Then, in the middle of nowhere...the engine began knocking. With no warning other than a sudden light on the dash. Was afraid we would not make it to the nearest city. We did, but it was scary to drive with knocking sound. I say engine knock because the sound only became worse when car was under load, such as when pulling uphill. As if someone took a metal rod and banged it on a metal bucket. Really, really not cool for a car of this caliber with only 8k miles on it. No load, just 4 passengers and steady highway speeds. Before this issue, I was seriously considering purchasing this car for my needs. But after this happened, I will hold off.
Critical Review
I purchased a 2021 Chevrolet Suburban and it has been one of my most costly mistakes. There are so many small issues with this vehicle that cannot be fixed or addressed by GM I would never recommend owning one. For the past year we’ve been having issues with the audio system in our 2021 Chevrolet Suburban Premier. It has the Bose system and at times will work just fine. Then about 40% of the time it will have major issues. The audio will crackle and have such bad static that you can’t even tell what’s playing through the speakers. I took it to the local dealer they had it for a month. They called me told me they couldn’t duplicate the issue and to come pick it up. The next morning first thing after picking up all the audio does is crackle. I take it back again, this time they do some software updates factory resets. It seemed to work better for about a week and we were right back to crackling audio. I call make and make a complaint to GM corporate. Gm tells me as soon as it does it again to take it back to the dealer and not to shut off the vehicle. I do exactly that when it happens, by the next day I get a phone call saying nothings wrong with it. That they did an update on the amp and it’s good to go. This time we made it two days before the speakers started to crackle again. The screen freezes from time to time, auto memory only works about half the time. Overall the electronic quality in these new vehicles flat out sucks. I regret buying this vehicle. My 2005 Tahoe sound system works better than this one and it’s over 20 years old. Meanwhile I have this suburban that is 5 years old and all the electronics are failing. For an $80,000 vehicle I expected more, unfortunately this is not the case. As someone that worked for GM and supported their product for 20+ years I’m extremely disappointed. They sold me a product that they can’t even fix or diagnose and they don’t even care. Save your money do not buy a 2020 or newer GM. I’ve had nothing but issues and so have most of my friends that have them as well.

2k miles already broken down. Electrical issues. Husband is stranded on the side of the road. Check engine light came on then issues with traction control and the car just completely broke down on him. Won’t shift into gear now he has to get an tow. After reading other reviews it seems like the 2025 suburban definitely has some issues that GM absolutely needs to look at. Ridiculous for a brand new 75k vehicle.
Ride, safety features such as cameras, adaptive cruise control and lane assist.
Unbelievably poor owners manual
OK, so I have owned 2 previous suburbans (2002 & 2013), so the 25 is an amazing upgrade to both of these! First of all, we do a lot of highway miles and the ride is simply amazing! It rides more like a luxury sedan than a truck. Since this is our primary vacation vehicle, we were careful to order 18 inch wheels, as they have a much smoother ride versus the larger ones. I also love all of the new cameras, which is a big help in tight situations. Also, the adaptive cruise control and lane assist make long road trips easier and safer as well. I also love the new exterior design features, particularly the front grill and the aerodynamic wings on either side of the rear window. I'm a bit surprised that those small design features have really updated and enhanced the look so much. The only real disappointment, so far, is the owners manual was really poorly done. Information is difficult to find, nonexistent and they even neglected to put in the required scheduled maintenance requirements (what were they thinking?). Overall, our first impressions on this vehicle have been superb and I would definitely recommend it to others who need a large family/vacation vehicle!
Bought this a week ago. Has everything and more. Premier model is amazing
Great MPG and looks very good on the road. This thing should take us into the next decade! We get lots of compliments and the best thing if all us that it’s a reliable vehicle
Haven’t purchased a car in a decade but we needed to upgrade for space and towing capabilities. So far everything has been amazing. Lots of compliments.
Everything if your looking for style and comfort

I paid extra 5k to buy My Chevy Suburban after I had already put a deposit down for a Chevy Tahoe and couldn’t get it in Florida on the original Delivery date. My Sales guy called me said he had a Black on Black with black interior suburban that came in that you would probably like it is not the Tahoe but for only 4 k more it has the panoramic sunroof & bucket seats.I said okay that will work Well worth the extra 9k the money I put down was basically eating up the upside down ness as I drive it off the lot. Highly recommend thanks Stu at Chevy in Sanford Fl Tell them Matt Referred you. They will give you 1ST CLASS TREATMENT! Guaranteed! 🙌🏻

I have owned 3 Suburbans including a 2002 LS a 2003 Z71 and this 2021 RST Durmax diesel. It is 4WD with the luxury package, power folding seats, panoramic sun roof, rear media package and sliding center console. My new Suburban is like going from the stone age to the space age with all the technological advancements. The rear media package is a must for long trips where we can watch Netflix movies and other things with a connected Amazon Fire TV stick. The mileage is great and the torque is amazing. If you are looking for a luxury good looking large SUV this is the one to get
