Positive Review
Finally, a perfect match! The 6.2L 420hp option mates so well with the new 10 speed. Power, comfort, convenience, reliability. Best truck Chevy built since 2012 Silverado’s.
Critical Review
The problem with this truck is GM, they sell you a vehicle that is known defective, the 8 speed transmission cannot be fixed it has been a problem since they designed it, They just don't care, the rear sliding glass window leaks all 19,20,21 windows will leak frames crack, yet they still use the same part without changing it, This is the classic just sell it ...their are new customers born every day, well I am 51 years old and I am the demographic that buys gm, young people don't buy their grandfathers brand vehicle, anyway I'm so disappointed and mad I have been cheated out of $56,000.00 and now have to look for another vehicle, all my cars I drive well over 60-70 k this one has 11k. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER GM PRODUCT.

TurboMax engine
Not the best Gas Mileage
My 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with the TurboMax™ engine is a standout choice for those who want a capable, high-tech truck without the price tag of a V8. Performance & Capability: "More Than a 4-Cylinder" Surprising Torque: The TurboMax™ 2.7L engine delivers a massive 430 lb-ft of torque starting at just 1,500 RPM. This gives the truck an immediate, punchy feel off the line that rivals many V6 and V8 engines. Towing Prowess: While it is a four-cylinder, it is officially rated to tow up to 9,500 lbs. Owners report it handles moderate loads, like 6,500 lb trailers, with confidence even on mountain grades. Best-in-Class Payload: Because the engine is lighter than the V8s, it offers a superior maximum payload capacity of up to 2,260 lbs. Daily Driving & Interior Modern Cabin Tech: If you have the LT trim or higher, you get the massive 13.4-inch touchscreen and 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, which give the interior a premium, modern feel. Smooth Ride: The truck is praised for its refined and quiet operation. The updated 8-speed transmission provides cleaner, more predictable shifts than older versions. Fuel Efficiency: You can expect around 19-21 mpg combined. While not quite as efficient as the Duramax diesel, it is a significant improvement over the 5.3L and 6.2L V8s for daily commuting. Why You’ll Love It Value for Money: The TurboMax is typically $4,000–$5,000 cheaper than V8 options, leaving more room in your budget for gear or higher trim features. Proven Reliability: This engine was built from the ground up for truck duty, featuring strengthened components and a 100,000-mile powertrain warranty for peace of mind.

the truck has been fantastic. plenty of torque for pulling my boat. mpg is amazing - over 30 on the highway. has all features i need. very happy with this vehicle! Red tintcoat paint pops in the sun. love it
Gas hog, Outdated truck, Expensive repairs
The value of these trucks are going down pretty fast especially the V8 engines. Expensive for repairs, uncomfortable suspension. Cheap cloth interior seats, no safety technology system.
Range and fuel economy with excellent off road capabilities
Hard to park in small urban spaces. Hard to get into without side steps.
Used in my ag consulting business. No issues, great range and fuel economy. Excellent off road capabilities while good ride on highway. Currently at 60K, still is tight with no rattles.

My Silverado is worth way more than people think because of everything that has been done to it. It has a lift kit that not only makes it look more aggressive but also improves its off-road capability and overall presence. The big wheels and tires add even more value because they cost a lot and completely change the way the truck looks and performs. The truck stands taller, drives stronger, and turns heads wherever it goes. On top of that, these upgrades weren’t cheap, and they make the Silverado more capable, more unique, and more desirable than a stock truck.
With only 3k miles in 6 years...this truck has treated me good. I only had 2 water leaks. One in rear window and the other was the front window. The rear was under warranty. Chevy refused to fix the front so ...I fixed it myself with weather sealant. Im happy with the mpg and comfort. I love the column shifter and simple old school gauges and knobs ...No kids arcade looking big screen garbage. Just plan on keeping this truck properly undercoated with woolwax so it won't rust away. Todays trucks with 4 cylinder turbos aren't worth it. I will stay with 8. The 1500 has stood the test of time but may not be here much longer.
I’ve been driving my 2025 Silverado LT Trail Boss TurboMax for a bit now, and I’ve got to say, Chevy really nailed a lot of things with this truck. The updated interior (2022) is one of the biggest highlights — the refresh looks modern, clean, and feels way more premium than the previous setup. The Trail Boss package itself is a head-turner too. The factory 2-inch lift and all the blacked-out accents give it that perfect aggressive look without going over the top. On the road, it’s surprisingly smooth for an off-road-oriented truck. Chevy did a solid job balancing capability with everyday comfort. The revised 8-speed (the 2024 update) shifts better than I expected — no weird hunting or hesitation, just clean, predictable shifts. The TurboMax engine gets decent fuel economy for a full-size truck, which has been a nice bonus. There are a few things I’m not crazy about, though. The seats are on the stiffer side, definitely firmer than I’d prefer on longer drives. The infotainment system also has a bit of lag here and there, which can get annoying when you're trying to quickly switch apps or settings. On the practical side, the bed space is huge — plenty of room for hauling whatever I need. And I appreciate the option to choose between heated back seats only or both back and rear; little flexibility details like that go a long way. Overall, the LT Trail Boss has been a great mix of style, comfort, and capability. Not perfect, but definitely a truck I enjoy driving every day.
This vehicle is solid as a rock. I love this truck. The turbo four cylinder - was my choice and found out it was the right choice. I don't tow with it but - I asure you this truck is quick! @ 310 horsepower it will light up the tires from a standstill. That turbo is impactful when you need it and that twin turbo has just the right rumble. This Chevy Truck still turns heads..
