I have the Equinox 1LT, sticker price 29,745 (approx). I am extremely happy with the driving of this vehicle, much better than expert reviews detail. MPG for my 1.5 front wheel drive is 31.7 over approx 3200 miles. Very satisfied with this. Plenty of power for me, I am not a speed demon and want good MPG vs Power. Excellent set up with the 2018 Equinox w/ 1.5 liter. Interior is very nice, drives great. I-phone connection works great. Could be a better GPS set up. Recommend this vehicle for anyone looking for moderate priced, good looking, great driving, well built driving machine. My best to you.
Critical Review
I owned a 2016, equinox and it was under a lease, i should have kept it, i loved that vehicle, but I went and gave it back and purchased a 2019, well it was the worst mistake of my life, I hate this new one, it doesn't have it own design, it looks like all the other smaller SUV's from other Manufacturers, but to keep it short, the only things I like about this vehicle is the All Wheel Drive, gas mileage, BlueTooth

I purchased a 2023 Equinox used 6 months ago. It is a no frills car that gets the job done. I liked the styling of the 2023 and because it is capable of flat towing behind a R.V. When I did some research I saw relatively high reliability ratings so I bought it. 6 months later I had the High Pressure Fuel Pump go bad on me. I found out that this is common and there is a Service Bulletin for it (and a recall on older models) but somehow that wasn't reflected in the reviews I read. Unfortunately my 2 yr/24,000 mile warranty for the fuel pump system just expired so that cost me $1,700. Then it went back into "Limp" mode and I found out one of the cylinder heads went bad, possibly something to do with the Turbo freezing in cold weather. That is covered under warranty but it is a large amount of work and lots of parts to order. The estimate is that I won't see my car again for a month or so. I didn't see anything about that in KBB or other reliability ratings but both issues are apparently very common.
Additional features on this vehicle are wheel locks installed by dealer and rain guards on all windows installed by dealer. Very low mileage and very well maintained! The wheels are 19” Aluminum Dark Android.
Spacious, Nice looking, Good audio, backup camera, heated seats, remote start
No sunroof and gas mileage.
I bought this car two weeks ago. So far, I have nothing but positive things to say. It is nice to drive, offers lots of extra features for comfort, and feels safe. Everything a person could want.
I would run, not walk away from this vehicle. The design for anything technological is like a moron did it. The displays are as cryptic as could humanly be created. Sometimes the display goes black and I need to disconnect the battery for a while to make it come back on. The worst of all are the automatic lighting going ON and off when I don't want it to, and the vehicle HONKING FOR NO REASON!! Nothing worse than having everyone around you thinking you're honking at them repeatedly when it was the car doing it. The vehicle has a mind of its own like it's demon possessed. Oh, and the transmission went out 10000 miles after I bought it.
Gas mileage. Feature Packed
Smaller than a full size SUV.
Great vehicle with decent gas milage and lots of features. Found one with low miles and packed full of features.
This car has nothing wrong with it interior and exterior. And it has 100,000 mile tires, I have the paperwork for the tires and some maintenance paperwork. Also it has a panoramic roof.
Horribly dissatisfied with my 2019 equinox LT 1.5 Ltr Engine. How could they put a 4 cylinder engine from a Sedan in a large SUV? I get the gas economy but too weak of an engine and I don’t notice where the turbo part comes in. I should’ve known. I know the reviews out there confirm this was a waste of a model and ruined the Equinox generation but when I test drove car in dealer I didn’t get to feel how weak the engine was until I bought it and experienced the Erving to almost 4 RPM from local 25 mph residential areas. The 2.0 Ltr engine is I guess the only option Chevy should’ve stuck with. They’ll never be a Honda or Toyota from cutting corners. And making such a weak cheap car isn’t going to help. I’ve never driven a weaker suv in my life. It’s almost like out of everything going on in the world, all we need is another annoying cheap product in life that costs thousands of dollars and no updates or fixes. The gas mileage isn’t worth the lack of power and inability to put groceries or 2 more average weight ppl in my car and have my engine roar and lag. Let alone if I wanted to put a hitch to tow anything. What a waste of materials
Mpg, comfort, size, style, safety features.
Not great with get up and go
I bought my 2023 two years ago. I bought it new. I like all the safety features, back up cameras are great. I like that I don't have to search my pockets or purse to find my keys, just push the button on the handle, as long as you have your keys on you. It handles well in rain and or snow, mine is not all wheel drive but does fine in my area midwest (St.louis Mo.) It's very roomy and comfortable. It gets good gas mileage (30-33)per gal. I also love the easy in and out, it's nice to be able to just step out or in unlike some other models.
