2021 Chevrolet Corvette Consumer Reviews

I've had my C8 Stingray for over 9 months, and it has largely met or exceeded expectations. It's been mostly very reliable. While it had a check-engine light on day 2 due to an assembly issue, my dealership took care of that for me promptly. I haven't had a single issue since - not so much as a rattle or creak over 5,600 miles. Also, the interior still feels great after these 9 months - while not a luxury car, it feels well-built and looks futuristic. I also enjoy the simplicity of the infotainment system. It has just enough features to feel thoroughly modern without being a nightmare to navigate through. Mine is a 2LT, meaning it gets the Bose Performance Series audio system, which I find to be excellent. The GT1 seats in my car are also quite good, if not as plush as GT2 seats I've experienced in other C8 models. The head-up display and gauges are clear if not super-customizable. While the interior is sweet, the driving experience is the best part. The 6.2-liter V-8 engine has power at all times and all RPMs, and throttle response is immediate. While the dual-clutch transmission can occasionally be somewhat rough at low speeds, especially when going uphill, it's generally quite smooth and shifts with lightning-quick speed. The paddle shifters are responsive, though not quite as telepathic as in some Porsche PDK models I've experienced. The car sounds great, too, without being so loud as to be obnoxious, even in Sport or Track mode. There are a few things I could nit-pick on the outside, like the fact that the fitment of some body panels seems inconsistent, particularly the front bumper, when compared to most other panels. Additionally, the cupholders, while nice-looking with their fancy metal coasters, don't always grip cups firmly and are a little small for some specific larger tumblers I own. Finally, the turn signal stalk feels a bit cheap compared to most other things I use in the interior of the car, feeling both stiff and flimsy at the same time. Are any of these issues going to stop me (or any Corvette shopper) from buying one? Probably not. I recommend that if you want a sports car and don't have six figures to spend on one, you can't ignore the C8 Corvette in its many forms - especially the Stingray.

I traded in my 2016 C7z for my new c8 Stingray. Yes the power difference is obvious but I don’t need to go that fast. I take it out on sunny days. More room then the c7 for us big guys. Drives so smooth. Seats are comfy. Tech stuff can be confusing. Cost of maintenance is irritating as it’s more due to dct transmission. Overall great car. Really enjoying my cruises.

I found " the one" on auto trader and couldn't be happier. I drove it from South Carolina to Chicago and it performed flawlessly. My wife and I were comfortable and amazed at how it performed and handled all the power even in the Smokies. Now I'm not sure what I like to drive more the c8 or the AC cobra.

I bought a 23’ 2LT Stingray Corvette. I was transitioning from a Masarati Gran Turismo (and YES I’m a woman!). It’s loaded with bells and whistles and I hope to have years of pleasure with it.

large handling improvement over base Z51 model. One of the best sounding corvettes ever produced, gas mileage is not all that great.

I just bought this car and drove it 150 miles home, and in that short of a drive I am very happy with how it handles and how quiet it is inside. beautiful car.

The last of the front engine and manual transmission corvettes! In Oct. 2024 I bought this baby with only 9,500miles on the odo. She's sharp and plenty fast. I have the competition seats which are said to be the least comfortable by some but I've done a 600 mile trip over 2 days in them and way more comfortable than my low mileage Porsche Boxster seats. Great acceleration, handling, looks, reliability, comfort--there is nothing not to like about the C7 grand sport 7M. The rev matching on my 7-speed manual will make even a mediocre gear shifter feel like a pro is driving. The clutch is much lighter than my Porsche was, too. Gears feel close together when you are shifting. Need to push up and a tad more to the right to engage 7th gear. Touring mode feels a lot smoother than other sports cars. I opted for the C7 to get the manual that the C8 doesn't have. A fantastic American sports car you could totally daily drive. I've owned Mustangs, Nissan z-cars, Porsched, Mercedes, and BMW, but this C7 vette is my favorite (so far!)

High Quality Performance with an amazing V8 Engine and Transmission. Highly Recommend this Mid Engine Sportscar. Have owned rear engine and front engine…nothing compares to the stability of a mid engine platform. Hope that pricing remains affordable…but I think cost for entry will rise over the years…
