"My first impressions"

I have owned my 2024 Chevrolet EV blazer for 1459 miles and let me tell you, it's been a joy. It's a super smooth ride, charges work fast and get me where I need to be with no issues. I've been a huge tesla owner since 2016 and have had one every few years until March of 2024. And I can confidently say I am happy with the product Chevrolet has put out. I hope it continues to preform just as well as it has been. I can confidently say I am a Chevy guy again! 5 stars, and thank you John Thornton Chevrolet in Lithia Springs for the great deal!

"Chevy blazer ev 2024 RS disaster"

Stay AWAY JUNK My 2024 Chevy Blazer EV RS shutdown on. The highway at 25 mph. The explosive crushing sound it made was so scary we thought the car was going to explode. With much effort we pushed it off the road and into a chevy parki g lot that was less than a block away.. It has been at empire checy in Hicksville ever since. Very polite staff have no clue what is going on. With my car. Thisnis the second time it has been in the shop. The car is 4 months old. I have had to rent a car from enterprise car rental. I have not been updated on My car once despite multiple calls. They just dont understand ev 's.. I have since complained to gm ev concierge . They have told me to keep renting until it's fixed and they will reimburse me Meanwhile I have had to charge over $800 in rentals as well as my monthly lease payment. The fact that I have parking stickers for my condo complex as well as my local airport it is is.more than a mild issue. Oh and I keep getting warnings on my chevy app saying urge to major mechanical issue get service immediately. What a pathetic car. Would be happy to post correspondence.

2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV SS AWD/4WD

Pros

Performance and Comfort are Outstanding.

Cons

None

High quality and amazing performance from the 2025 Blazer EV SS. I test drove the standard model first. The interior was ok, and performance was pretty good. But then I test drove the SS model and was first amazed at the quality of the interior finishes and design style. The interior is as good as any European luxury brand such as Audi or BMW. When I drove it for the first time, I could not believe how much power this vehicle has, 615 hp and the electric torque and power is immediate. The car has different drive modes including one where you can set the suspension, throttle response, and handling to what you like including a Z mode which is full power. I love it, handles like a dream! The electronics and features are a full on suite of capabilities including GPS, Sirius radio, Bluetooth, drive modes, heated and cooled seats, heated steering wheel, multiple choices for lighted accents interior, heads up display, all the safety features lane keep asisist, adaptive cruise control, Super Cruise for hands free driving on highways, and one pedal driving. The seats are very comfortable, as comfortable as an Audi E-tron Sportback that I had previously. I have been very pleased with this vehicle and now have 7000 miles on it. The charging stations are generally easy to use. You only need to ask on the display where the nearest charging station is. You can narrow it to Electrify America which is an excellent number of fast charger stations, or also Tesla charging stations if you have the adapter from Chevrolet. I recommend to test drive this vehicle if you can find one. They are limited, have not seen another one in Tucson and mine was the first SS in Tucson according to the dealer.

My favorite EV
Pros

Interior room, infotainment,

Cons

Lack of cargo dividers in trunk

This is the 3rd EV I’ve owned. Coming from a 2021 Mach - E Select and an Ariya Empower + this is by far the best over all package including ease of partner phone app use. The native trip planner is great and GM Energy pass makes charging the car super easy just plug in and activate on the app. Also I generally only Level 1 charge at home and having the ability to adjust between 8 and 12 amp draw really makes the difference. And I know I’m in the minority when I say I love the fact that this car doesn’t have android auto or Apple CarPlay. I always tend to used the manufacturer UI and I have to say Chevy knocked it out of the park with this one. Having all of the integrated apps I use anyway like Audible for books has been great! The only thing I will say I was hesitant about the car was the long wheel base but I have to say the car is an absolute dream to drive super easy and comfortable.

My first EV improved as I owned it
Pros

Interior size, comfort, driving dynamics

Cons

lack of solid phone integration, fast charging curve

I got a special lease deal on a RS RWD model with all of the options (Bose sound system, panoramic roof, HUD, etc). The over the air updates have improved as I have owned it, specifically, the software update in 2025 improving the sound quality immensely. As I come up on the end of my 24 month lease with 24,000 miles currently on the odometer, I have learned a lot about this car. I have never driven something so smooth. I have riden in other EV's, Tesla, Ioniq 5s, but the really long wheel base has been amazing for highway traveling. My son will pass out quite easily as miles melt away. As for the road trips, the charging curve is interesting; I can get peak of 190kw when preconditioned and the battery below 30%, but the charge curve pulls back at 10% increments, and my 25-80% charge will end up averaging 110kw or about 30 minutes. I charge at home 99% of the time, and find the level two charging to top off at 10.5kw/hr. Seats are very comfortable, the infotainment works as advertised, but the lack of carplay and the not great phone integration for texting (you can't text group chats) leave much to be desired in case you need to talk to people. Overall, I really like the car and wish I had leased for 3 years instead of 2. These are a bargain, in a good way, and has been a great car for the last two yours.

Think Twice Before Buying the 2025 Chevy Blazer EV

I purchased a 2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV from Bob Weaver Auto Service. While the sales team was courteous and professional, my experience with the vehicle itself and Chevrolet’s post-sale service has been extremely frustrating. During the delivery walkthrough, the built-in Google Maps/navigation system would not work. The salesperson tried multiple times but could not fix it. I was told it was likely a temporary software glitch, so I proceeded with the purchase. After taking delivery, I began experiencing frequent software issues, including screen freezes and auto-hold malfunctions. Over time, the problem worsened and the GPS stopped working entirely. For an EV, this is a major issue—without navigation and trip planning, it’s impossible to confidently determine whether you have sufficient charge to complete a trip. I took the vehicle to DEL Chevrolet for service. The advisor was polite and initially diagnosed the issue as a faulty antenna. Unfortunately, there was no proactive communication about the repair. I had to repeatedly call for updates, and it took nearly one month for the antenna to arrive. After replacement, the problem was still not fixed. The dealership then informed me that the OnStar module also needs to be replaced. Despite the car lacking reliable navigation, trip planning, and app functionality, I was told the vehicle is “drivable.” It has now been almost two more weeks, and there is still no ETA for the part. At this point, I am driving an EV without dependable navigation or range planning, which defeats the purpose of owning a modern electric vehicle. The lack of urgency, poor communication, and weak accountability from both GM and the dealership have been very disappointing. This was my first Chevrolet purchase, and it has left me questioning GM’s EV software readiness and customer support. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that potential buyers research carefully and consider other EV brands with more mature technology and better post-sale service.

Pros

Style, performance, comfort

Cons

Range, no auto/carplay

Definitely an upgrade so far from all the 2024 reviews. I got the AWD and wish it had more range, but the performance makes up for it in my opinion. Very comfortable, convenient, and stable. I do miss the android auto and carplay from my traverse though. I will try and update if anything.
