Searching for a hard-to-find 5.9L Cummins diesel dually with manageable mileage? This 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 SLT Quad Cab at Pettijohn Ford of Trenton, Missouri, brings together the legendary Cummins 600 High-Output 5.9L inline-six turbodiesel, dual rear wheels, and factory-listed trailer equipment. With 116,338 miles, a White exterior, and Taupe interior, this heavy-duty Ram deserves a look from farmers, livestock owners, contractors, and diesel-truck enthusiasts who appreciate an older Cummins-powered pickup. Under the hood is the 5.9L Cummins High-Output 24-valve turbodiesel paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission and a 3.73 axle ratio. The Cummins 600 designation references the engine's torque class, part of its appeal to buyers seeking diesel pulling power. This is a rear-wheel-drive (2WD) truck, not a 4x4, so shoppers can choose the drivetrain that fits their needs. Its dual rear wheels provide a wider rear stance for heavy-duty hauling applications; actual towing and payload limits depend on this truck's configuration and need verification before loading. The Trailer Tow Group, Class IV receiver hitch, 7-pin trailer wiring harness, power-folding trailer tow mirrors, and tow hooks make this Ram useful for trailer-oriented work. Heated power mirrors help visibility on cold Missouri mornings, while the folding design makes the wide mirrors easier to manage when parked. An engine block heater and 750-amp maintenance-free battery are useful additions for winter diesel operation. Whether you're moving equipment between properties, taking a trailer to the sale barn, or maintaining a rural business, its equipment supports practical tasks. The Quad Cab gives you rear seating and additional interior storage compared with a regular cab. A cloth 40/20/40 split front bench, folding rear seat, and folding-flat load-floor storage help accommodate people, tools, and supplies. The SLT trim includes conveniences such as power windows, remote keyless entry, air conditioning, cruise control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and an overhead console with compass and outside-temperature display. A sliding rear window and front center armrest add everyday utility. Outside, chrome bumpers, bodyside molding, a front hood protection shield, fog lamps, and 17-inch steel wheels complement the truck's straightforward work-ready appearance. Four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, dual front airbags, and speed-sensitive windshield wipers are among its listed safety and driving features. The AM/FM radio with CD player provides simple entertainment without touchscreen complexity. For shoppers comparing a used Dodge Ram 3500 Cummins dually with older Ford F-350 or Chevrolet Silverado 3500 trucks, the combination of the 5.9L High-Output diesel, 116,338 miles, rear-wheel drive, and towing accessories is the main attraction. The listing includes a CARFAX vehicle history report for buyers who want to review available background information. As with any older heavy-duty diesel, we encourage a look at its condition, service records, and towing requirements. Pettijohn Ford of Trenton has served Northwest Missouri since 1924.
