===== 2008 Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Coupe ===== Lamborghini Rancho Mirage is delighted to offer this exceptional Pre-Owned 2008 Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Coupe, a defining modern-era Lamborghini that combines unmistakable design, naturally aspirated V12 performance, and the engaging character of a gated manual transmission conversion. Showing 19,431 miles, this LP640 presents a compelling opportunity to acquire one of Lamborghinis most celebrated flagship models in an increasingly desirable driver-focused configuration. VIN: ZHWBU37SX8LA02929 ==== Exterior ==== The Murcielago LP640 remains one of the most dramatic and instantly recognizable supercars ever created. Its low, wide proportions, sharply sculpted bodywork, signature scissor doors, and imposing rear haunches embody the theatrical styling that has defined Lamborghini for generations. Developed as the more powerful and extensively revised evolution of the original Murcielago, the LP640 introduced updated front and rear styling, revised aerodynamics, distinctive lighting, and a more aggressive overall appearance. Nearly two decades after its introduction, its design remains exotic, purposeful, and unmistakably Lamborghini. ==== Gated Manual Transmission Conversion ==== The centerpiece of this Murcielago is its gated manual transmission conversion, transforming the driving experience from automated shifting to the direct mechanical engagement of a traditional manual gearbox. Each gear change is accompanied by the precise movement of the shifter through the exposed metal gate, creating the tactile interaction and unmistakable soundtrack enthusiasts associate with Lamborghinis greatest analog-era automobiles. This LP640 was originally equipped with Lamborghinis E-Gear transmission and has since been converted to a gated manual configuration. It is therefore correctly represented as a gated transmission conversion, rather than a factory-produced gated-manual example. Factory manual LP640 models were produced in extremely limited numbers and are among the most coveted Murcielagos in the collector market. A properly executed gated conversion captures much of that involvement and emotional appeal while providing access to a configuration that is exceptionally difficult to obtain in original form. For many enthusiasts, the ability to manually control Lamborghinis naturally aspirated V12 makes a converted LP640 considerably more compelling than a comparable E-Gear example. The conversion can add meaningful desirability and market appeal when supported by quality components, professional installation, complete documentation, and proper operation. ==== Interior ==== The driver-focused cockpit delivers an experience that feels intimate, purposeful, and distinctly analog. The low seating position, broad center console, deeply recessed instrumentation, and gated shifter place the driver at the center of the experience. The exposed metal shift gate serves as a dramatic visual centerpiece while reinforcing the vehicles connection to Lamborghinis most celebrated manual-transmission flagships. Unlike newer supercars dominated by digital interfaces and automated systems, the Murcielago provides a more mechanical and engaging connection between the driver and the machine. ==== Engine and Performance ==== At the heart of the LP640 is a magnificent 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, producing approximately 631 horsepower and delivering power through Lamborghinis all-wheel-drive system. The LP640 designation references its original European output rating of 640 metric horsepower and its longitudinally mounted engine configuration. The V12 delivers immediate response, relentless acceleration, and an >
