When Jaguar's full convertible XJS arrived for 1988, it brought together two of the brand's greatest strengths: open air grand touring and the smooth, silky V12 engine that first debuted in the E-Type. This 1989 example is a great one, showing just 25,000 original miles and backed by its service booklets. Finished in Bright Red, this XJS has a bold, graceful look that shows off the long hood and flowing lines that made the model a Jaguar icon. A power soft top lets you go from coupe style comfort to open air cruising at the touch of a button, and a boot is included to cover the top when it's folded down, giving the car a clean, finished look. Independent suspension is a hallmark of Jaguar ride quality, helping this convertible glide over the road with the composure and comfort buyers expect from a luxury grand tourer. Power comes from the 5.3L V12, an engine known for its smoothness and its quiet, effortless delivery. It's paired with a 3 speed automatic transmission that keeps the driving experience relaxed and refined, ideal for scenic drives with the top down. ABS adds a layer of modern safety, giving the car confident stopping power. With only 25,000 original miles, this V12 has plenty of life ahead of it. Inside, tan leather seating creates a warm, inviting cabin that pairs beautifully with the Bright Red exterior. A wood and black dash combines traditional British craftsmanship with a sporty, driver focused layout, and a heated driver seat adds a welcome bit of comfort on cooler mornings. The cabin has the classic Jaguar feel, a place that's as pleasant to sit in as it is to drive. This XJS V12 is a rare chance to own a low mileage, well documented Jaguar convertible with a legendary engine, a striking color combination, and the kind of effortless grand touring character the XJS was built for.
