Finished in a head-turning red exterior, this two-door hatchback brings the iconic MINI personality together with the punchy performance of the turbocharged S trim all at an accessible used-car price point. With 94,455 miles on the clock, this MINI is ready for its next chapter, and Bahal Motors in Concord is here to help you get behind the wheel. ===== About This 2007 MINI Cooper S Hatchback ===== The second-generation MINI Cooper S produced from 2007 onward represented a major step forward for the model, ditching the supercharged engine of earlier years in favor of a more modern turbocharged setup. The result is a car that feels eager and alive at every speed, with the kind of tossable, go-kart handling that turned MINI into a cult favorite. At 94,455 miles, this example sits comfortably in the middle of its usable life, assuming it has been reasonably maintained a point worth discussing with our team when you come in for a look. The bold red paint makes this one of the more visually striking examples you'll find on a used lot in the Concord area, and the classic two-door hatchback body style keeps it practical without sacrificing style. Whether you're commuting along Highway 4, winding through the hills above Walnut Creek, or simply running errands around Concord, this MINI fits the pace of everyday East Bay life. ===== 2007 MINI Cooper S Performance and Engine ===== Under the hood sits a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine the same Prince-series powerplant shared with BMW at the time. This engine produces around 172 horsepower in standard S tune, giving the Cooper S a 0-60 time in the low-seven-second range despite its compact size. Paired with an automatic transmission and front-wheel drive, this configuration makes the Cooper S genuinely accessible to a wide range of drivers. You don't need to be a manual-shift enthusiast to enjoy what this car delivers the automatic handles the gears smoothly while the chassis still communicates everything happening beneath you. The suspension tuning on the S trim is firmer than the base Cooper, which translates to sharp, confident cornering on the kinds of roads you'll find throughout Contra Costa County. ===== MINI Cooper S Features and Interior ===== The 2007 Cooper S Hatchback S trim brings a meaningful upgrade over the base Cooper in both performance and equipment. Inside, you'll find the signature MINI cockpit layout centered around that distinctive oversized round speedometer, toggle switches, and a snug but driver-focused cabin that puts everything within easy reach. The S trim typically adds sport seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, upgraded audio, and automatic climate control depending on how this particular example was optioned from the factory. The rear hatch opens up to a surprisingly usable cargo area for a car this size, making it more practical than it might appear from the outside. The compact footprint also means parking in tight spots around downtown Concord or Pleasant Hill is effortless. ===== MINI Cooper S Reliability and Ownership ===== The 2007 MINI Cooper S has a passionate ownership community, and for good reason when properly maintained, these cars can run well into six-figure mileage without major drama. That said, informed buyers should know that the turbocharged 1.6-liter engine does have a few known considerations worth being aware of. Cooling system components, including the thermostat and water pump, are known wear items on this generation. The timing chain tensioner is another item that many owners address proactively. Oil changes done on schedule with the correct specification oil are especially important for turbo longevi>
