If you're searching for a used Mercedes-Benz E-Class for sale in Santa Ana, California, this 2003 Mercedes-Benz E 500 Sedan at ALSBOU MOTORS - SANTA ANA deserves a serious look. Finished in a commanding black exterior, this rear-wheel-drive luxury sedan carries just 69,525 miles a genuinely low figure for a vehicle of this age and represents one of the more compelling classic Mercedes-Benz values available in Orange County today. ===== About This 2003 Mercedes-Benz E 500 ===== The W211 generation E-Class, produced from 2003 to 2009, is widely regarded as one of Mercedes-Benz's finest modern expressions of the traditional luxury sedan formula. This particular 2003 E 500 sits at the top of the E-Class lineup for its model year, pairing a powerful V8 engine with a composed, rear-wheel-drive chassis. At under 70,000 miles, this example has been driven conservatively by any standard well below the national average mileage for a vehicle this age. That translates directly into less wear on major components and more life left in this already durable platform. Stock number 703, this is a clean, well-preserved example that rewards any buyer who appreciates German engineering built to last. ===== 2003 Mercedes-Benz E 500 Performance and Engine ===== ==== 5.0L V8 Power With Real-World Refinement ==== Under the hood sits Mercedes-Benz's 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V8, a single overhead cam 24-valve engine that produces a healthy 302 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque in this application. Paired with a smooth five-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, the E 500 delivers effortless highway merging, confident passing power, and a driving character that feels unhurried yet thoroughly capable at all speeds. What makes this engine particularly notable is its simplicity relative to turbocharged alternatives of the same era. The naturally aspirated V8 breathes freely without the complexity of forced induction, making it a robust and approachable powerplant for long-term ownership. Power delivery is linear and predictable, which suits both spirited driving and relaxed freeway cruising through Orange County and beyond. ===== Mercedes-Benz E 500 Features and Interior ===== ==== E 500 Trim The V8 Luxury Experience ==== The E 500 trim was Mercedes-Benz's performance-oriented flagship of the E-Class range in 2003, meaning this vehicle came from the factory with a premium feature set to match its larger engine. Buyers can expect a well-appointed cabin featuring genuine wood trim, multi-zone automatic climate control, power-adjustable front seats, and a driver-focused instrument cluster with the classic analog gauge presentation that Mercedes-Benz was known for during this period. The W211 interior still holds up impressively well for a vehicle of this age. Build quality is exceptional switches, controls, and surfaces were engineered to last, and examples with low mileage like this one tend to show interior wear that is minimal compared to higher-mileage competitors. The rear seat is notably generous in legroom, reinforcing the E-Class's role as a genuine chauffeur-quality sedan. ===== Mercedes-Benz E-Class Reliability and Ownership ===== ==== What Owners and Experts Say About the W211 E 500 ==== The 2003 Mercedes-Benz E 500 occupies an interesting place in ownership discussions. Its 5.0-liter V8 is mechanically straightforward and well-proven enthusiasts and independent mechanics alike have praised it for durability when properly maintained. The naturally aspirated design means fewer failure points than the turbocharged engines that followed in later generations. Prospective buyers should be aware that W211-generation E-Class vehicles benefit greatly from diligent maintenance. Staying current on engine oil, coolant, and brake fluid service keeps these cars performing at their best. Commo>
