LOW-MILEAGE, RARE, HARDCORE, MANUAL-TRANSMISSION, HIGH-PERFORMANCE, NONSMOKER, HONDA'S HOT-HATCH HERO! This 2023 Honda Civic Type R arrives in striking Sonic Gray Pearl over a Black/Red interior with suede-effect seating surfaces and signature double red stitching, showing ONLY 14,207 MILES on the odometer. As the FL5-generation Type R, it represents one of Honda's most serious modern performance cars - combining a 315-horsepower turbocharged engine, a wonderfully mechanical 6-speed manual transmission and a sophisticated front-wheel-drive chassis engineered for drivers who genuinely care about the experience behind the wheel. WHY SHOPPERS BUY THIS MODEL The Civic Type R has become a modern performance icon because Honda refuses to take shortcuts with it. This isn't simply a regular Civic with extra horsepower and aggressive bodywork. The Type R receives extensive engineering changes designed around performance, including its turbocharged powertrain, limited-slip differential, adaptive suspension, powerful Brembo brakes and aerodynamically functional bodywork. The FL5 generation made the formula even more compelling by combining serious pace with a cleaner, more mature design and a remarkably usable interior. It can deliver the precision, feedback and excitement enthusiasts expect from a dedicated performance machine while retaining four doors, a spacious hatchback cargo area and the everyday practicality of a Civic. AUTOMOTIVE PRESS AND INDUSTRY RECOGNITION The FL5 Civic Type R quickly established itself as one of the benchmark front-wheel-drive performance cars of its generation. Professional reviewers have consistently praised its exceptional steering, beautifully calibrated chassis, superb manual gearbox and unusual ability to remain engaging at normal road speeds while delivering legitimate track capability. The Type R's reputation is backed by serious performance credentials as well. Honda developed the FL5 with extensive aerodynamic, chassis and cooling improvements, creating a car that feels engineered as a complete performance package rather than simply optimized for headline horsepower. WARRANTY With ONLY 14,207 MILES, this Type R remains exceptionally low-mileage for its age. Factory warranty eligibility depends on the vehicle's original in-service date, so any remaining time-based Honda factory coverage should be confirmed against the original warranty start date. Additional service-contract coverage may also be available for longer-term protection. STANDARD FEATURES At the heart of the Type R is Honda's turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 315 HORSEPOWER AND 310 LB-FT OF TORQUE. Every bit of that output is sent through a close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission with automatic rev-matching and a helical limited-slip differential - there is no automatic transmission alternative. The chassis is equally serious. Adaptive dampers, a dual-axis front suspension design, multi-link rear suspension, Brembo front brakes, performance-focused steering and 19-inch wheels help give the Type R its extraordinary combination of grip, precision and feedback. Honda also gives the driver multiple selectable drive modes, including Comfort, Sport, +R and Individual settings, allowing the responses of several vehicle systems to be tailored to the road and the driver's preference. INSTALLED OPTIONS This Type R was ordered in Sonic Gray Pearl, a $455 premium factory finish that complements the FL5's more purposeful and sophisticated styling. Inside, the Black/Red suede-effect fabric seating surfaces with double red stitching reinforce the unmistakable Type R character, surrounding the driver with the color and material treatment expected from Honda's flagship performance Civic. With its $1,095 original destination charge included, this example carried a $45,345 ORIGINAL MSRP when new. MECHANICAL FEATURES Honda engineered the Type R around driver involvement. Its 315-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter engine feeds a short-th>
