RUGGED, ULTRA-LOW-MILEAGE, ONE-OWNER, NO-ACCIDENT, NONSMOKER, ADVENTURE-READY ICON! With an astonishingly low 7,697 miles, this 2022 Toyota 4Runner Trail Special Edition 4WD in Lunar Rock is a seriously unusual find. Built around the 4Runner's proven body-on-frame platform, naturally aspirated V6 and genuine part-time four-wheel-drive system, it combines old-school SUV toughness with distinctive Trail Special Edition equipment and some very visible adventure-oriented upgrades. The history is unusual, too. CARFAX identifies it as a one-owner vehicle that was registered for taxi/for-hire use in New York, but that owner accumulated only about 1,556 miles per year -- extraordinarily little use regardless of registration classification. CARFAX also reports no accidents or damage, no structural damage, no airbag deployment and no odometer concerns. WHY SHOPPERS BUY THE TOYOTA 4RUNNER The 4Runner has long appealed to shoppers who want something fundamentally different from the typical crossover. Its body-on-frame construction, substantial ground clearance, truck-like durability and available low-range four-wheel drive give it genuine capability when pavement ends. Just as importantly, the 4Runner has a wonderfully straightforward character. The naturally aspirated V6, traditional automatic transmission, generous cargo area and power-operated rear window make it a practical everyday SUV without sacrificing the rugged personality that has built such a loyal following. AUTOMOTIVE PRESS AND INDUSTRY RECOGNITION By 2022, the fifth-generation 4Runner was deliberately old-school in a market increasingly filled with car-based crossovers. Reviewers regularly recognized that its age showed in areas such as fuel economy and road manners, but that same traditional construction remained central to its appeal: genuine off-road capability, simple and proven mechanical architecture, substantial utility and unmistakable character. FACTORY WARRANTY This 4Runner's first documented retail sale and registration occurred on 10/23/2021, which I am using as the estimated original warranty start date. At only 7,697 miles, mileage certainly isn't what exhausted its original coverage. Toyota's original 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty and 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty have expired based on time as of October 2026. Ask us about available extended service-contract coverage if you'd like additional protection for this remarkably low-mileage 4Runner. STANDARD TRAIL SPECIAL EDITION FEATURES The Trail Special Edition was created around outdoor recreation and adds distinctive equipment to the already capable SR5-based 4Runner: Dark gray TRD Off-Road alloy wheels Yakima LoadWarrior rooftop cargo basket Black exterior badging Black seating with tan contrast stitching Sliding rear cargo tray Smart Key with Push Button Start INSTALLED OPTIONS Premium Audio with Dynamic Navigation -- $1,585 8'' touchscreen Dynamic Navigation 8-speaker audio system Connected-services capability Wi-Fi connectivity capability Destination Assist capability Subscription may be required to maintain service. Standalone Features TRD Pro Exhaust -- $799 Front Skid Plate -- $379 Predator Tube Steps -- $649 Dual USB Power Port Charger -- $129 Wheel Locks -- $80 Original manufacturer's suggested retail price: $45,486 AFTERMARKET EQUIPMENT This 4Runner has been outfitted with a substantial aftermarket front brush/grille guard with integrated lower skid-style protection and tubular side extensions, giving the front end an even more aggressive trail-ready appearance. The photos also show a rear tubular bumper/guard assembly wrapping around the lower rear bumper. The documented Predator Tube Steps remain visibly installed, as does the Yakima LoadWarrior roof basket that helps define the Trail Special Edition. The dark gray TRD Off-Road wheels are visibly present as well. MECHANICAL FEATURES Under the hood is Toyota's naturally aspirated 4.0L V6, prod>
