SPACIOUS, VERSATILE, FAMILY-READY, NONSMOKER, ROOM FOR EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING! The 2017 Honda Pilot EX-L is the kind of three-row SUV families keep for years, and this one has been well cared for along the way. Finished in Crystal Black Pearl, it pairs a leather-trimmed, eight-seat cabin with factory navigation, a power moonroof, and all-wheel drive. With the odometer hovering around the 113,700-mile mark and 24 service records on its CARFAX history, it's ready for plenty more road trips. All-wheel drive makes this Pilot an especially smart choice for drivers who face rain, snow, and the occasional muddy back road. Honda's i-VTM4 system can actively distribute torque between the rear wheels, not just front to rear, which helps the Pilot stay composed in slippery conditions and confident through corners. WHY SHOPPERS BUY THIS MODEL The Pilot has long been one of the most trusted names among three-row family SUVs. Shoppers choose it for Honda's reputation for reliability and durability, its smooth V6 power, and an interior designed around how families actually live, with clever storage, flexible seating, and genuine space in all three rows. The third-generation Pilot, introduced for 2016, moved the model toward a sleeker, more refined design while keeping the practicality that made it popular. It rides and handles more like a well-sorted car than a truck-based SUV, it can tow up to 5,000 pounds with all-wheel drive, and it holds its value well, which makes it a dependable long-term investment for growing households. AUTOMOTIVE PRESS AND INDUSTRY RECOGNITION Reviewers praised the 2017 Pilot for its strong, smooth 280-horsepower V6, its roomy and versatile cabin, and its composed ride. Edmunds called it utilitarian by almost all standards, noting its ability to tow up to 5,000 pounds while comfortably carrying eight passengers. The publication also preferred the EX-L's six-speed automatic transmission over the nine-speed unit used in higher trims. On the safety front, the 2017 Pilot earned a FIVE-STAR OVERALL SAFETY RATING from NHTSA and a 2017 IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ award when equipped with its available front crash prevention system. WARRANTY The odometer currently reads 113,665 miles. That works out to roughly 12,900 miles per year since this Pilot was first registered, below the national average for a vehicle of its age. Its CARFAX history shows 24 service records, reflecting regular maintenance throughout its life. Extended service plans may be available for buyers who want added peace of mind. STANDARD FEATURES The EX-L is where the Pilot's cabin steps up to genuine comfort and convenience. Leather-trimmed seating, heated front seats, a power-adjustable driver's seat with memory, and a power moonroof give the interior a more upscale feel than the EX. A power tailgate makes loading groceries and gear easy when your hands are full. This EX-L with Navigation adds Honda's satellite-linked navigation system, so you can find your way without relying on a phone signal. Combined with all-wheel drive and the dependable six-speed automatic transmission that reviewers favored, it's one of the most well-rounded configurations of the 2017 Pilot. MECHANICAL FEATURES Under the hood is Honda's 3.5-liter V6, producing 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. It's a smooth, responsive engine with a long-standing reputation for durability, delivering confident acceleration when merging onto the highway, even with a full load of passengers. The six-speed automatic transmission shifts smoothly and predictably, and Variable Cylinder Management can deactivate cylinders while cruising to save fuel. EPA ratings are 18 mpg city and 26 mpg highway. The i-VTM4 all-wheel-drive system, paired with Intelligent Traction Management, lets the driver select settings for Snow, Mud, and Sand, tailoring the system's behavior to the conditions at hand. When properly equipped with Honda's towing accessories, t>
