*??? DEALER CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED 90-POINT INSPECTED* Includes Level 1 Quality Plus Auto Protection coverage and our 5-Year Maintenance Plan when purchased at our full out-the-door price. Proudly serving customers with over 22,000 vehicles sold. *2017 Volkswagen Tiguan 2.0T Wolfsburg Edition Deep Black Pearl over Charcoal 112,788 Miles* On a higher-mileage Volkswagen 2.0T, the first question an informed buyer asks is about the timing chain. On this one, the answer is easy: our service team just installed a new timing chain kit, along with new spark plugs, a coolant flush, and fresh full-synthetic oil. Add 29 service records, most from Volkswagen dealers, and a current Georgia emissions inspection, and this is a Tiguan that's been looked after. *? WHAT YOU'RE ACTUALLY GETTING* ? Passed our multi-point inspection and qualifies as a Dealer Certified Pre-Owned unit ? OBDII scan completed on this vehicle: all drive monitors completed, with zero stored or pending trouble codes. The scan photos are included in our listing photos so you can read the results yourself. ? Current Georgia emissions inspection ? Recently completed by our own service team: a new timing chain kit, new spark plugs, a coolant flush, and a full-synthetic oil and filter change. *Estimated value of this work: $2,250 $3,550* (estimate at dealer rates; this work will appear on the CARFAX report shortly) ? 29 service history records on CARFAX, largely Volkswagen dealer maintenance, including a timing front cover and gasket, serpentine and drive belts, and two new tires (2024), plus earlier spark plugs, a wheel bearing and hub, and tires ? CARFAX 3-Year Reliability Forecast: Good, with a projected low repair cost of about $320 per year (a CARFAX prediction, not a guarantee) ? Title is CARFAX-guaranteed free of salvage, rebuilt, flood, and lemon brands, with no structural damage, airbag deployment, or odometer issues reported. The vehicle is covered by the CARFAX Buyback Guarantee. One minor damage report from 2017 is covered below. ? One key included *?? REAL VALUE* We cross-checked this Tiguan against five independent sources. Manheim Adjusted Retail comes in at *$8,675*, Kelley Blue Book's Typical Listing Price at *$8,870*, CARFAX's History-Based Value at *$8,980*, the market average at *$9,805*, and J.D. Power Retail at *$9,900*. That gives a market value range of *$8,675 to $9,900*. We found nine comparable 2017 Tiguan 2.0T Wolfsburg Editions within 300 miles, listed at $6,500 to $12,990 with 94,787 to 122,829 miles. The three closest in mileage to this one, at 108,779 to 115,773 miles, are listed at $8,500 to $10,900. We can't tell from those listings whether any of them have had their timing chain replaced. Now add what comes with this vehicle that a cheaper one down the road may not. The new timing chain kit, spark plugs, coolant flush, and oil change are an estimated *$2,250 $3,550* in work the next owner doesn't have to buy, and the timing chain is one of the biggest-ticket jobs on this engine. The 5-Year Maintenance Plan (*$2,500 value*) covers 25 discounted oil changes plus radiator, AC, and diagnostic service at a discount, with no year or mileage cap, spread across the years you actually own the car. The included Quality Plus Auto Protection coverage (*$300 retail value*) means an engine or transmission failure isn't a rebuild bill. These aren't badges on a listing. They are dollars you won't be spending in the months and years ahead, and they belong in the comparison any time you weigh this Tiguan against one with a lower sticker. *Market value + recent service + 5-Year Maintenance Plan + warranty coverage = roughly $13,725 to $16,250 in total value in this vehicle.* A vehicle that costs less today can cost far more over three years once a timing chain, deferred service, and an unprotected powertrain catch up with it.
