The Golf GTI became an icon by doing something incredibly well  It made driving fun without making the car impractical.  You get a turbocharged engine, real manual gearbox, front-wheel drive, a genuine limited-slip differential, excellent chassis balance, and enough room to use the car every day.  It is just as comfortable commuting to work as it is taking the long way home.  ## THE 2.0 TSI + 6-SPEED  The 2.0L TSI produces **220 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque**, delivering strong, immediate turbocharged performance.  The **6-speed manual** is what makes this GTI particularly special.  You choose the gear.  You control the revs.  You become part of the experience.  And the **VAQ limited-slip differential** helps put the power down when the road gets interesting.  ## PERFORMANCE PACKAGE  This GTI benefits from Volkswagen's Performance Package, including the VAQ electronically controlled limited-slip differential and upgraded braking hardware.  The red GTI brake calipers add an unmistakable visual reminder that this isn't just a Golf with a nicer interior.  ## THE LOOK  Pure White is one of those colors that suits the Mk7 GTI perfectly.  Combined with the classic 18-inch Austin wheels, red calipers, black details, and Black Leather interior with Red Contrast Stitching, this one has exactly the right GTI attitude.  Sporty without being overdone.  ## AND THEN WE MADE IT BETTER.  The factory GTI was already a driver's car.  This one adds Integrated Engineering intake and exhaust components, giving it a more expressive engine note and a little more personality.  I love modifications like these because they don't change what makes the GTI special.  They simply make the experience feel a little more personal.  ## THE SE  The SE specification brings the comfort and technology to match the performance  **Leather seating, heated sport seats, power moonroof, Fender Premium Audio, KESSY keyless access and start, rearview camera, dual-zone climate control, Apple CarPlayᆴ and Android Auto&quot;.**  This is the GTI formula done properly.  ## MY TAKE  I feel like the best GTIs don't need to be outrageous.  They don't need 400 horsepower.  They just need the right road, the right driver, and a manual gearbox.  This one has the ingredients that make the GTI so beloved  Turbocharged. Manual. Limited-slip differential. Practical. Fun.
