The 328 itself had been a stopgap intended to draw more years out of the 308 model, which had debuted over a decade earlier in 1975. Styled by a design team led by Pininfarina s Leonardo Fioravanti and created under the direction of Enzo Ferrari in what became one of his final acts, the Ferrari 348 made its debut in 1989 at the Frankfurt Auto Show. With slatted side air intakes and rectangular taillights, the 348 s shape differed radically from its predecessor. With styling clearly inspired by the car s big brother, the Testarossa, as well as the ultimate Ferrari of the time, the F40 the world's fastest production car in its day - the 348 attracted plenty of attention. Unlike the 328, the 348's V8 was mounted longitudinally, enlarged to 3.4L, and coupled to a five-speed gearbox. Now boasting nearly 300 brake horsepower, the 348's performance was good enough for a claimed sub-six second 0 to 60 mph time and a 170 mph top speed. The incredible 1990 Ferrari 348 ts Targa offered here is finished in the timeless Ferrari color pairing of Rosso Corsa Racing Red over a Sabbia Beige leather interior with a matte Black removable hardtop. Its pop-up headlights, five-spoke wheels, and slatted side panels distinguish the 348 as a charismatic product of the 1990s while its gated manual gear shifter affords it the status of a true driver s Ferrari. We are proud to offer this investment-grade 348 ts to the most demanding collector, investor, or enthusiast who understands and appreciates the investment potential of this highly desirable model!
