Introduced for 2000, the E39-generation BMW M5 is widely regarded as one of the finest sport sedans of the modern era. Powered by a hand-assembled 4.9-liter S62 V8 producing 394 horsepower and paired exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission, it combined understated styling with formidable performance and everyday usability. With its balanced chassis, hydraulic steering feel, and naturally aspirated character, the E39 M5 represents a high-water mark for BMWs M Division an analog super sedan from an era unlikely to be repeated. This final-year 2003 BMW M5 is finished in Carbon Black Metallic with Shadowline trim over optional Black Extended leather. The supplied original window sticker lists factory equipment including front and rear side airbags, an integrated garage door opener, power glass sliding moonroof, navigation system, a premium sound system with Digital Sound Processing DSP, and 6-disc CD Changer. Purchased new on March 28, 2003 through BMW of Manhattan in New York, this M5 remained with its long-term first owner from 2003 to 2025. Acquired in September 2025 by its current second owner, this low-mileage M5 was subsequently entrusted to specialist Fairfield County Motorsports of Fairfield, Connecticut for a comprehensive mechanical sorting totaling nearly $25,000 in documented service.
