===== 2014 Aston Martin Vanquish Centenary Edition: 1 of 100, Centenary Silver, V12, Carbon Fiber, and 14,455 Miles ===== This 2014 Aston Martin Vanquish Centenary Edition is one of the most special modern Aston Martins, built to commemorate the company s 100th anniversary and limited to just *100 Vanquish Centenary Editions worldwide*. Finished in the extraordinary *Centenary Silver* over *Obsidian Black Deep Soft leather*, this Vanquish carried an original MSRP of approximately *$312,122.65* and shows only *14,455 miles*. Under the hood is Aston Martin s naturally aspirated *5.9-liter V12 producing 565 horsepower*, paired with the *6-speed Touchtronic 2 transmission* and rear-wheel drive. Carbon-ceramic brakes, adaptive damping, carbon-fiber body construction, and the Vanquish s unmistakable proportions complete one of the great British grand-touring packages of the era. The Centenary Edition takes that already special foundation and makes it genuinely collectible. ==== The Centenary Edition ==== Aston Martin created the Centenary Edition to celebrate its 100th anniversary, and the treatment went far beyond a badge package. The centerpiece is the distinctive *Centenary Silver finish*, created with a graduated paint process that gives the body exceptional depth and highlights the sculpted carbon-fiber panels. The special exterior treatment is complemented by *solid sterling-silver Aston Martin wings*, Centenary-specific detailing, and individually numbered commemorative elements. This example also features the desirable factory carbon-fiber exterior treatment, including the *front splitter, mirror arms, and rear diffuser*, which suits the Vanquish perfectly. Inside, the Centenary treatment continues with *Obsidian Black Deep Soft leather* and details inspired by the Aston Martin One-77, giving the cabin a more exclusive feel than an already luxurious standard Vanquish. This was Aston Martin celebrating itself at its absolute best. ==== Naturally Aspirated V12 ==== The heart of the Vanquish is its *5.9-liter naturally aspirated V12*. With *565 horsepower*, rear-wheel drive, and no turbochargers muting the experience, the engine delivers the smooth, progressive power and unmistakable sound that helped define Aston Martin s flagship GT cars. The Vanquish was designed to cover huge distances quickly and comfortably, but the V12 gives it a sense of theater every time it starts. Modern Aston Martins are faster, but cars like this Vanquish represent the end of an era when a large-displacement naturally aspirated twelve-cylinder engine sat at the center of the experience. ==== Carbon Fiber Construction ==== The second-generation Vanquish represented a major step forward for Aston Martin. Its exterior body panels make extensive use of *carbon fiber*, allowing the designers to create the dramatic curves, deep sculpting, and wide rear proportions that distinguish the Vanquish from the DB9 beneath it in the Aston Martin hierarchy. The exposed and painted carbon-fiber components on this Centenary Edition add another layer of visual interest while reinforcing the flagship character of the car. The result remains one of the most beautiful modern Aston Martin designs: long hood, muscular rear quarters, low roofline, and proportions that look elegant from one angle and aggressive from another. ==== Centenary Silver Over Obsidian Black ==== The specification is exactly what you would want on a Centenary car. *Centenary Silver* was created specifically for Aston Martin s anniversary models and gives the Vanquish a completely different presence from a conventional metallic silver. Against the Obsidian Black interior and carbon-fiber exterior components, the car feels formal, exotic, an>
