CLASSIC, WELL-PRESERVED, LOCAL TRADE-IN, NONSMOKER, RETRO ROADSTER DONE RIGHT! This 2002 Ford Thunderbird revived one of the most recognizable names in American automotive history, and this particular example shows a genuinely low 69,454 miles for a car that's now well over two decades old. Finished in Whisper White with a black removable hardtop, it pairs classic styling with a few tasteful upgrades of its own. A 3.9-liter DOHC V8 makes 252 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque here, paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive for the kind of smooth, confident power this retro roadster was designed around. WHY SHOPPERS BUY THIS MODEL The eleventh-generation Thunderbird was Ford's answer to bringing back a genuine American icon, blending styling cues from the original 1955-57 two-seater with a thoroughly modern chassis and V8 power. It was named Motor Trend's Car of the Year and nominated for North American Car of the Year in its debut. Buyers gravitate toward this generation of Thunderbird for its removable hardtop and power soft top combination, letting owners switch between coupe-like refinement and open-air cruising, along with a driving experience Motor Trend once called ''mature and polished.'' WARRANTY The odometer is hovering around the 69,454-mile mark. Based on the current mileage and original in-service date, this Thunderbird's original factory warranty coverage has expired long ago. What stands out instead is the documented maintenance history, which reports 24 service records. MECHANICAL FEATURES This Thunderbird pairs its 3.9-liter DOHC V8 with a 5-speed automatic transmission, delivering smooth, confident power and a classic V8 exhaust note. Traction control adds an extra layer of confidence when putting that power down, and four-wheel power disc brakes provide reassuring stopping power to match. AFTERMARKET EQUIPMENT Photos show this Thunderbird riding on an aftermarket wheel (Touren brand) mounted with an Ironman all-season tire, in place of the factory 17-inch chrome wheels this generation originally wore. Under the hood, a polished aluminum cold-air intake tube with blue silicone couplers has replaced the stock intake piping. Buyers should confirm the full extent of any other modifications before purchase, since these weren't part of the original factory build. EXTERIOR FEATURES Whisper White paint gives this Thunderbird a clean, classic look, paired here with a contrasting black removable hardtop and matching power soft top underneath, letting owners switch between a finished coupe look and open-air driving in minutes. INTERIOR FEATURES Inside, black leather seating and a black cabin keep things classic and cohesive throughout, with a Thunderbird-branded steering wheel and dashboard plaque reinforcing the retro theme. An in-dash CD-6 changer and dual-zone automatic climate control round out the factory comfort features. INFOTAINMENT & TECHNOLOGY A factory AM/FM stereo with an in-dash 6-disc CD changer anchors the center stack, paired with dual-zone automatic climate controls just below. SAFETY FEATURES This Thunderbird comes with a driver's airbag, four-wheel power disc brakes, and traction control, giving drivers a genuinely confident setup for a car of this era and vintage. ... and there's SO MUCH more! If available, vehicle files can be found above this description on our website, including the original brochure and window sticker! THE BOTTOM LINE This Thunderbird pairs genuinely low mileage for its age with the removable hardtop and power soft top combination that made this generation so appealing when new. Between the documented 24-service-record history and a couple of tasteful aftermarket touches, it's a well-cared-for example of a modern American classic. Two tops, one V8, and a whole lot of 1950s attitude wrapped in a modern package. We will happily evaluate your TRADE-IN and offer EXCELLENT FINANCE OPTIONS a>
