The *2018 Kia Stinger GT2* is what happens when Kia apparently gets tired of being sensible. With aggressive fastback styling, rear-wheel-drive performance, a genuinely luxurious interior, and enough horsepower to make people ask, Wait that s a Kia? the Stinger GT2 remains one of the most interesting performance sedans of its era. The *GT2 is the one you want. It loads the Stinger with Nappa leather seating, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a power sunroof, head-up display, navigation, Harman Kardon premium audio, power liftback, driver-assistance technology, and plenty of other luxury equipment.* The hatchback-style rear opening also means it can carry a surprising amount of cargo, because apparently Kia wanted your irresponsible purchase to remain somewhat responsible. Then there's the important part: the *3.3-liter twin-turbocharged V6 producing 365 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque*, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The result is a legitimately quick grand touring sedan that was engineered to compete with cars wearing considerably more expensive badges. If you're comparing a BMW 340i, Audi S4, Mercedes-AMG C43, or Genesis G70, the Stinger GT2 gives you performance, luxury, practicality, and the occasional opportunity to explain to someone why their BMW just got embarrassed by a Kia.
