At just under 80,000 miles, this Civic is well within the range where Honda's legendary build quality really shines. The hatchback body style gives you the sporty look of a compact car combined with a surprisingly versatile cargo area making it ideal whether you're commuting through Reedley or loading up for a weekend trip through the San Joaquin Valley. The Sport trim sits above the base LX and EX trims in Honda's lineup, adding meaningful upgrades in both appearance and functionality. This isn't a stripped-down grocery-getter it's a well-equipped, sport-flavored daily driver that gives buyers real value for the money. ===== 2018 Honda Civic Performance and Engine ===== Under the hood of this 2018 Civic Sport Hatchback sits Honda's 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine a powertrain that genuinely punches above its weight class. Paired with a CVT (continuously variable transmission) and front-wheel drive, this setup delivers smooth, responsive acceleration whether you're merging onto Highway 99 or navigating surface streets through Selma or Visalia. The turbocharged 1.5L engine produces around 174 horsepower in Sport Hatchback configuration, which gives it noticeably more pep than the naturally aspirated engines found in many competing compact cars. The CVT is tuned to keep the engine in its power band efficiently, contributing to excellent fuel economy typically in the range of 31 city / 40 highway mpg a real advantage for drivers doing daily commutes across Fresno County. ===== Honda Civic Sport Hatchback Features and Interior ===== The Sport trim level gives this Civic a more aggressive look and a more feature-rich interior than you might expect at this price point. On the outside, you'll find a sport rear spoiler, rear diffuser, and 18-inch alloy wheels that set it apart from standard Civic models. Inside, the Civic Sport Hatchback includes Honda Sensing a suite of advanced safety and driver-assist technologies that includes collision mitigation braking, road departure mitigation, lane keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control. These aren't features you typically see on entry-level trims, which is part of what makes the Sport Hatchback such a strong value in the used car market. You'll also find a 7-inch Display Audio touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a backup camera, and push-button start. The rear hatch opens to a cargo area that's genuinely practical around 25 cubic feet with the rear seats up, expanding significantly when folded flat. ===== Honda Civic Reliability and Ownership ===== Honda's reputation for reliability isn't marketing spin it's backed by decades of owner data. The 10th-generation Civic (2), which this 2018 belongs to, is consistently praised by owners and automotive analysts alike for its durability, low cost of ownership, and strong resale value. J.D. Power and Consumer Reports have both rated this generation highly, and it's no surprise to see these cars regularly exceeding 150,000 to 200,000 miles with proper maintenance. The 1.5-liter turbocharged engine had some early oil dilution concerns in colder climates, but California's mild weather virtually e>
