Perfect Auto Collection Signature Listing 2017 Mercedes-AMG C63 S Coupe Edition 1 - Matte designo Magno Finish VIN WDDWJ8HB8HF427193 | 16,869 miles Matte grey, yellow wheels, yellow stitching, and a V8 Mercedes-AMG does not build anymore. Why We Acquired This Vehicle The W205 C63 S is the last V8 C-Class AMG will ever build. Its 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 produces 503 horsepower and 516 lb-ft driving the rear wheels alone, and the generation that replaced it uses a turbocharged four-cylinder with an electric motor. Whatever the merits of that decision, it closed a line that ran from the 6.2-liter naturally aspirated cars through this one. This example is an Edition 1, the launch specification AMG offered only at the beginning of the coupe's production run. The build sheet records it as a single $16,055 line - by far the largest on the car - bringing carbon ceramic front brakes, the AMG Performance Exhaust, the Night Package, and the forged black twin five-spoke wheels with yellow rim accents, along with the Edition 1 decal treatment. On top of that sits designo Selenite Grey Magno, a matte finish carrying its own $2,020 charge, over black Nappa with yellow stitching. The total was $94,000 against a $75,000 base. At 16,869 miles it has been used sparingly and kept properly, which matters more on a matte car than almost any other. The verified appointments are detailed in full below. We ask a quieter question: how does it present, and would we be proud to place it in our own collection? This one presents unlike anything else we handle. Matte grey paint, yellow rim accents, yellow stitching through a black cabin, and the decal treatment AMG applied only to the launch cars - it is the most visually specific vehicle in our inventory, and none of it was added afterward. The entire package came from Affalterbach as one order, which is the difference between a car that looks modified and a car that looks the way it was built. At under seventeen thousand miles it is also the right example of a specification this hard to find twice. Why Enthusiasts Value This Model The C63 S occupies a place AMG can no longer fill. It is a compact coupe with a hand-assembled twin-turbocharged V8 sending 503 horsepower to the rear wheels alone - no all-wheel drive to manage it, no hybrid assistance, and an electronically controlled locking rear differential to make the most of what that arrangement offers. The generation that followed abandoned all of it. The current C63 uses a four-cylinder engine with an electric motor and drives all four wheels, which makes it quicker and almost universally regarded as a different kind of car entirely. That has given the W20>
