RUGGED, VERSATILE, WELL-CARED-FOR, NO-ACCIDENT, NONSMOKER, READY FOR THE TRAIL! The 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek continues to prove that everyday practicality and genuine all-weather capability do not have to come at the expense of driving enjoyment. Built on the same foundation as the Impreza but raised, reinforced, and reworked for adventure, this Crosstrek blends hatchback agility with the confidence of a taller stance, making it equally comfortable navigating a downtown parking garage or a snowy mountain road. What sets this Crosstrek apart from its hatchback cousin is Subaru's Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system, standard on every trim. Rather than reserving all-weather traction for an expensive option package, Subaru builds it into the platform itself, so owners get genuine confidence in rain, snow, and loose gravel without ever thinking twice about it. Raised ground clearance further sets this Crosstrek apart from a typical compact hatchback, opening up light trails, unplowed driveways, and rutted back roads that would stop a conventional car in its tracks. WHY SHOPPERS BUY THIS MODEL The XV Crosstrek carved out its own niche by taking the efficient, easy-to-drive Impreza platform and giving it genuine crossover capability without inflating its footprint or its price. Shoppers cross-shopping small SUVs and crossovers gravitate toward the Crosstrek because it delivers standard all-wheel drive, real ground clearance, and Subaru's well-earned reputation for long-term reliability, all in a package that is easy to park and inexpensive to fuel. Subaru's boxer engine layout keeps the center of gravity low for a more planted, car-like feel than most crossovers can offer, while the brand's overall reputation for durability and strong long-term value keeps resale prices healthy well into a vehicle's second and third owner. It is a formula that has made the Crosstrek a favorite among buyers who want SUV usability without sacrificing the driving manners of a compact car. AUTOMOTIVE PRESS AND INDUSTRY RECOGNITION Automotive journalists have consistently praised the XV Crosstrek's blend of everyday efficiency, all-weather traction, and genuine light-duty capability, calling out its raised stance and standard all-wheel drive as rare features in its price class. The 2015 XV Crosstrek earned an IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK award, standing out alongside its Impreza sibling as one of only two vehicles in the small car category to earn a Superior rating for front crash-prevention technology that year. WARRANTY The odometer is hovering around the 38,169-mile mark, and based on the original April 2015 registration date, Subaru's factory coverage has since expired on this XV Crosstrek. Even without remaining factory coverage, the Crosstrek's 2.0-liter boxer engine and Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system are engineered for long-term durability, and this example's mileage remains comfortably reasonable for its age. Extended service plans may be available to provide additional peace of mind moving forward. STANDARD FEATURES Stepping up to the 2.0i Premium trim brings meaningful everyday upgrades over the base 2.0i, most notably the option of Subaru's Lineartronic CVT in place of the standard manual gearbox, giving buyers a smoother, easier-to-live-with driving experience for daily commuting. The Premium trim's all-weather comfort equipment, including heated front seats, heated exterior mirrors, and a windshield wiper de-icer, keeps this Crosstrek comfortable and functional through genuinely cold, wet winters, not just mild ones. MECHANICAL FEATURES Power comes from Subaru's 2.0-liter horizontally opposed four-cylinder boxer engine, producing 148 horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque. It is not a quick engine, but it was never meant to be. It is tuned instead for smooth, predictable everyday driving and genuinely good fuel efficiency, returning an EPA-estimated 26 mpg city and 34 mpg highway with the CVT. That CVT is p>
