Every once in a while, we have the opportunity to offer a vehicle that truly stands apart, and this incredible 2006 Pontiac GTO is unquestionably one of them. Finished in beautiful Torrid Red over Black leather, this final-year GTO has traveled an almost unbelievable 262 original miles since new. This is not a restored automobile or a car that has been brought back to life after years of useit is an exceptionally preserved, virtually untouched example that has simply never been driven. Purchased from California and originating in North Carolina, this GTO has remained one-family owned since new and comes with an impressive collection of original documentation and records supporting its history. Under the hood is Pontiac's legendary 6.0-liter LS2 V8, paired with the highly desirable 6-speed manual transmission. The LS2 was GM's 364-cubic-inch Gen IV small-block and was used in performance vehicles including the GTO and Corvette. With only 262 miles, the entire car presents much as you would expect an extraordinarily well-preserved new GTO to have looked nearly twenty years ago. The Torrid Red paint has a beautiful deep gloss, the body is outstanding, the original 18-inch wheels are beautiful, and remarkably, the car remains on its original factory tires. Those tires are an important part of this GTO's preserved originality and help tell the story of just how little use this automobile has seen. Open the door and the time-capsule quality continues. The Black leather interior is exceptional, with GTO-embroidered sport seats showing virtually no evidence of use, a beautiful leather-wrapped steering wheel, original 6-speed shifter, red-faced GTO instrumentation and an odometer displaying just 000,262 miles. The dash, console, carpeting, rear seating, trim and door panels are all remarkably preserved. Even small details that normally disappear over the years remain with the car. It also retains its original factory floor mats, original keys and an extensive collection of documentation, including original paperwork, manuals and service-related records. Additional documentation accompanies the car beyond what is pictured. The engine compartment is equally impressive and remains remarkably original and untouched in appearance. Underneath, this GTO tells perhaps an even better story. The floors, suspension components, driveline, differential, exhaust and hardware retain the kind of original finishes and factory appearance that simply cannot be duplicated by restoration. Nothing has been cosmetically dressed up to make the car appear to be something it isn'tthis is preservation, not restoration. The condition throughout is amazing. In the interest of describing our vehicles as accurately as possible, we will point out the one noteworthy cosmetic imperfection we have found: there is an approximately one-inch touched-up scratch on the front bumper. It is difficult to notice when walking around the automobile and requires a close look to see. Beyond that minor imperfection, this GTO is simply remarkable and the photographs speak for themselves. Finding a clean, low-mile 6 Pontiac GTO has become increasingly difficult. Finding a final-year 2006 GTO with the LS2 V8, 6-speed manual transmission, desirable Torrid Red finish, one-family ownership, extensive documentation, original tires and only 262 actual miles is something altogether different. This is an extraordinary opportunity for the serious Pontiac enthusiast or collector searching for an example that hasn't been modified, restored or used upone that has somehow survived essentially as Pontiac built it. 262 original miles. One family. 6-speed manual. LS2 V8. Torrid Red. Original tires. documentation. An absolutely incredible final-year GTO time capsule. For more info contact Kevin at Mashburn Motors.
