This exquisitely well-preserved Coach edition Lexus was owned by a grandma and parked in a garage for most of the last quarter-century. It's been lying in wait for you. Leather and wood trim are the product of a collab between Lexus and Coach (yeah, that Coach), featuring embossed Coach emblems on the center console among other places. Delight in the quaint charms of a luxury car designed for a pre-9/11 world: The rear seats have their own ashtray (never used). It's quiet, cushy, and comfortable. It feels solid and sturdy. Ever pick up a gadget and notice it feels heavy for its size? That made it seem expensive, right? Drive around in that feeling all day. You deserve it. The 3.0L V6 provides as much horsepower as a base-trim 5th gen Mustang, but the gas mileage is better than one because Toyota tries a little harder. HID headlights provide night-drive visibility the higher income brackets have come to expect. The cassette player and CD changer will let you engage with the return of physical media with a gracefulness your friends will find breathtaking. Finally: a real excuse to buy BRAT on cassette. This car has aged well, much like a fine wine, a vampire, or sir Patrick Stewart. Bystanders will see you drive by and use words like &quot;character&quot; and &quot;distinguished&quot;, maybe even an occasional &quot;daddy&quot;. They don't make 'em like this anymore, and in some ways that's a good thing, but at least in this car you can be certain that essentially nothing &quot;is computer&quot;. I can't quite claim &quot;excellent&quot; condition just because of the calendar age of the car: Some of the internal plastic trim bits are showing some age, and there's a very slow leak from the engine oil pan. Paraphrasing the mechanic: &quot;If this were my car I wouldn't bother fixing it&quot;. It leaks so slowly that top-offs are not needed between oil changes. Mechanically, however, there's nothing wrong with it, and as a Toyota product it's very likely to stay that way. As my dear friend Ethan says: &quot;This car f_cks&quot;.
