Hybrid powertrains are engineered for longevity, and Ford's hybrid system in the Fusion is well regarded for holding up well into high mileage when properly maintained. At this point in its life, much of the initial depreciation has already occurred, making it an excellent value for buyers who want a near-premium driving experience without the new-car price tag. The stock number is 7943, and the VIN is 3FA6P0LU9KR264007 for those who want to pull a vehicle history report before visiting. ===== 2019 Ford Fusion SE Hybrid Performance and Engine ===== ==== Hybrid Powertrain Built for Efficiency ==== The 2019 Ford Fusion SE Hybrid is powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder Atkinson-cycle engine paired with an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery pack, delivering a combined output of around 188 horsepower. Power is sent to the front wheels through Ford's electronically controlled continuously variable transmission, or eCVT a smooth, seamless system designed to maximize fuel efficiency without sacrificing drivability. In real-world driving, the Fusion Hybrid delivers EPA-estimated fuel economy of around 43 MPG combined, which translates to significant savings at the pump especially for Bay Area drivers navigating Highway 101, surface streets in Novato, and stop-and-go conditions heading toward San Rafael or Corte Madera. The regenerative braking system quietly recaptures energy during deceleration, keeping the battery topped up without any effort from the driver.
