Gateway Classic Cars of Dallas is excited to offer this rare and eye-catching 1997 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am, finished in the ultra-desirable Bright Purple Metallic-a color produced in extremely limited numbers, with just 1 of 34 examples built in 1997. This 4th Generation Trans Am stands out immediately thanks to its unmistakable long hood, aggressive front fascia, and sleek aerodynamic body lines that defined late-90s American performance. The Bright Purple Metallic paint gives this car a unique presence that sets it apart from the typical reds, blacks, and whites, making it a true standout at any meet or cruise night. Under the hood sits the legendary 5.7L (350ci) LT1 V8, factory rated at 285 horsepower, delivering strong, reliable performance paired with that unmistakable American V8 sound. Power is sent through a 4-speed automatic transmission (4L60E), offering smooth shifting and comfortable cruising whether you're in town or on the highway. This Trans Am shows just over 102,000 miles, and remains largely all original, preserving its authenticity and appeal to enthusiasts and collectors alike. The only notable upgrade is a set of aftermarket wheels, giving it a slightly more aggressive stance while maintaining the car's overall character. Inside, you'll find a grey cloth interior that provides a comfortable and period-correct driving environment. The cabin is complemented by removable T-Tops, allowing you to enjoy open-air driving and making every cruise feel like an event. The 4th gen Trans Am has become increasingly sought-after in recent years, especially rare color combinations like this one. With its limited production numbers, original drivetrain, and iconic styling, this car represents a great opportunity to own a unique piece of Pontiac performance history. If you're looking for a collectible modern classic that combines rarity, style, and V8 performance, this 1997 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am in Bright Purple Metallic is a standout choice you won't want to miss.
