This is a unique FIAT Spyder. I base that on its showroom like condition, low mileage and color. In the eyes of some enthusiasts it is the prettiest color combination for the Spyder line. The red paint with the hand painted matte black heritage racing stripe hood and trunk lid stands out in a crowd. On several occasions I have been approached in traffic and parking lots by friendly folks commenting on the car. I have often felt that if FIAT had put an Alfa Romeo (their cousins) badge on it and added some horsepower they would have sold millions. If you're not familiar the Abarth trim level includes many trim items and a sport mode. Sport mode increases the combustion of the turbo charger, tightens the suspension to some degree and changes the logic of the automatic transmission giving the car a very sporty feel. Shifting gears can be done with paddles or tapping the shift lever. Without sport mode the engine still produces more horsepower the normal Spyder engines due to the very cool sounding tuned exhaust system. The car has been garage kept its whole life.
