2001 Cherokee XJ. My son's daily college driver for 3+ years. 177K miles but less miles on the engine &amp; transmission. Previous owner proactively did the head swap to avoid the cracking issues and had the entire original 4.0 engine rebuilt. Two years later the oil pressure suddenly dropped while driving. Towed to a local shop and discovered one main bearing had spun. Local shop located and installed a used late 1990's 4.0 engine with 128K miles. Engine runs great with no issues. Original transmission recently had some issues so the same shop installed a used 2001 transmission with 130K miles along with bellhousing and fresh seals. Body, frame and interior are in excellent condition. Black paint has small chips and scratches but overall in VGC. Interior is gray cloth in EC. Dashboard is in EC. Functioning full instrumentation. Everything works with a couple minor exceptions. All four power windows operate but only the driver can operate the other three windows... I assume the parent lockout switch needs to be replaced on the driver's controls. Volume control is sticky on the stereo. Power steering, power brakes, power windows, power locks, power mirrors, original AM/FM/cassette with auxiliary port for Bluetooth and air conditioning (cold). Purchased with the 3 lift, Yakima roof rack and WARN winch already installed. New Cooper Discoverer All-Terrains tires 245-75R-16 installed September 2025 with less than 1,000 miles. Serviced with new battery, starter, brakes, alignment, front suspension work, AC service, exhaust work, etc. Current engine does not use oil, has 60psi oil pressure at cold start, holds 50psi at 1500rpm. Oil-sprayed past three winters. Real head-turner. Rock-solid overall condition &amp; very straight. About the best overall condition you will find. Selling because son is graduating from college. Asking price is $12,000 OBO. Original engine on engine stand &amp; available with the vehicle.
