Buil t from 1974-1993, the iconic Volvo 240 wagons are well known for their safety, durability, longevity, practicality and versatility. These are good cars, but with the newest 240's being over 30 years old now there just aren't that many for sale - especially the wagons. This example is a rust free Southern car in good shape for the age. The interior is about average and does have some heat damage. The exterior has just been completely repainted and looks great. More important, this 240 drives really well and is in good mechanical condition. It was mostly up to date when we bought it having recently had fluids changed, tired replaced, timing belt &amp; water pump changed, valve cover gasket, flame trap, stereo &amp; speakers replaced, a/c compressor replaced shift bushing changed and more. Our preparation for sale in addition to prep &amp; paint included an oil change, new driver door lock actuator, muffler and tail pipe. This 240 is a standard model with no special options. It does have a receiver hitch with a Volvo insert. Other additions include the Alpine stereo, aluminum engine splash guard, Hella horns, and Volvo plastic floor trays (which may be original.) This 240 will be best for the buyer who wants to actually use the car. It's solid and looks nice going down the road, but isn't perfect so just drive and enjoy! Note that in North Carolina, this Volvo is exempt from state inspection and from odometer reporting due to age. The trailer hitch, original radio, service manual and 3 keys are included.
