Unlike so many sports cars that have come and gone through the autoverse, the fifth-generation Corvette's design has remarkably stood the test of time. From the engine, power is routed through a tried-and-true Tremec T56 six-speed manual transmission before heading out to the 3.42-geared rear end where those ponies are transposed to pavement, as the rubber famously, and literally, meets the road.
