We&#8217;re eager to climb into the cabin of the all-new 2026 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid. Interior space and seat comfort are strong suits of the outgoing model, and the new model should be even better in those important criteria. We never cared for the gearshift buttons in the Palisade, and the new model replaces those with a steering column shifter that turns like an old-fashioned key for shifting into drive and reverse. We also like the dual 12.3-inch displays when we&#8217;ve tested them in other <a href="https://www.kbb.com/hyundai/">Hyundai models</a>, so we welcome their addition to the Palisade.
Hyundai says the new Palisade has a &#8220;reimagined third row.&#8221; In addition to a little extra space in the way-back seats, it has bigger windows back there, letting in more natural light, which should help to make it feel a little less cramped while improving visibility for the driver. Interestingly, the Palisade Hybrid&#8217;s second row has less leg room than the non-hybrid by about an inch and a half, but the cargo space and third-row leg room are the same. Something to keep in mind if you want maximum interior space.
A few new interior options we look forward to testing include Relaxation seats (recliners with leg supports), 100-watt fast-charging USB-C ports, and a Bose 14-speaker surround audio system. Since Blue SEL Premium is the base trim in the Palisade Hybrid, a few upscale standard features include H-Tex leatherette seats, second-row captain&#8217;s chairs (a bench is optional), heated and ventilated first- and second-row seats, rear sun shades, and a surround-view camera.

You could&#8217;ve called the Hyundai Palisade the rookie of the year when it first arrived on the scene in 2020. It was as good as or better than well-established veterans in the competitive class of midsize 3-row SUVs, and it&#8217;s been one of our favorites in its class ever since. Now, the Palisade is getting even better for 2026 as it enters its second generation. The first-ever Hyundai Palisade Hybrid is part of the redesign, and a non-hybrid version (<a href="https://www.kbb.com/hyundai/palisade/2026/">reviewed separately</a>) will still be available. We estimate that the 2026 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid will start at about $48,000 for the base Blue SEL Premium trim. This would be a big jump in starting price over the non-hybrid Palisade, but that version has the more affordable SE and SEL trims slotted below its non-Blue SEL Premium trim (&#8220;Blue&#8221; means &#8220;hybrid&#8221; in Hyundai-speak). For the Limited and Calligraphy trims, expect to pay around $3,000 extra for the hybrid powertrain over their V6-powered counterparts.

The 2026 Hyundai Palisade is powered by a 287-horsepower V6 engine matched with an 8-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive (FWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD). <a href="https://www.kbb.com/hyundai/">Hyundai</a> says it&#8217;s a &#8220;newly developed&#8221; V6, but, on paper, it appears to effectively be carried over from the previous generation. In our experience, the outgoing Hyundai Palisade does an excellent job of providing a minivan-like driving experience in the form of an SUV. That’s not an insult — this is a comfortable family cruiser on city streets and highway road trips alike. We expect similar driving characteristics from the 2026 model.
<h3>Fuel Economy</h3>
The 2025 Hyundai Palisade returns up to 19 city/26 highway/22 combined mpg with front-wheel drive and 19 city/24 highway/21 combined mpg with all-wheel drive. We expect similar ratings for the 2026 model, but a new hybrid option promises greater efficiency.

The 2026 Genesis G70 is one of our favorite compact luxury cars for a multitude of reasons.

Power, Ride and Handling

The entry-level G70 employs a turbocharged 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine with 300 horsepower, making it the most muscular base engine of the class. It’s able to accelerate from a standstill to 60 mph in about 5.8 seconds. For comparison, the BMW 330i can channel its 255 hp to hit 60 mph in an impressive 5.4 seconds.
A twin-turbocharged 365-hp V6 propels the G70 3.3T. The closest BMW 3 Series in terms of muscle is the M340i with 382 hp &#8212; but that car is about $10,000 more.
The good thing about both G70 engines, we’ve found, is that they deliver their maximum thrust at low revs. Darting into a gap in traffic is satisfyingly swift. For the most part, they also operate with a quiet efficiency. It’s only when Sport or Sport+ modes are selected that they become more vocal.
We’ve driven the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/car-news/power-and-panache-driving-the-2024-genesis-g70/">G70 with the 2.5-liter turbocharged engine as well as the larger V6</a>, and discovered that the 2.5T is easily powerful enough and an excellent choice. If anything, we prefer that the front end feels a bit lighter, for a finer overall balance.
Every new G70 has good outward vision, and the front seats hold their occupants reassuringly in place even through quick corners. The G70 feels stable, responsive, calm, and collected. The standard Brembo brakes are also confidence-inspiring.
<h3>Fuel Economy</h3>
The G70 isn’t renowned for its sparing use of gasoline. The 2.5T engine manages 24 mpg in combined city/highway driving (with rear-wheel drive) or 23 combined mpg (all-wheel drive). To compare, the rear-drive BMW 330i can achieve 31 mpg combined, although most of the class is closer to the G70.
The 3.3T is capable of only 20 mpg combined, subtract a mile per gallon if all-wheel drive is in the mix. Premium gasoline is required for each engine.

Luxe Exterior

Like a BMW 3 Series (the benchmark for this class), the 2026 G70 has a relatively long hood, plus short overhangs at each end. We think the overall look is effective and definitely appropriate for the luxury sector.

Navigation-based smart cruise control 
This standard adaptive cruise control feature uses information from the navigation system to determine when there are curves coming up, and can adjust speed automatically. When used with the lane-centering Highway Driving Assist feature (also standard), it lightens the driver’s workload. We’ve found that driver aids in all Genesis vehicles work exceptionally well.
Brembo brakes 
These are standard on every new G70. Brembo is a highly respected Italian company that also supplies Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Aston Martin.
All-wheel drive 
A popular option, all-wheel drive brings greater surefootedness in wet and dry conditions. A heated steering wheel is also part of the deal.
Genesis Digital Key 
Using the Genesis app, users can lock/unlock and start the 2026 G70. This works with Apple iPhones and Android phones, and we like its convenience.
Lexicon audio 
Go into any world-class recording studio, and Lexicon equipment will be used for pretty much every session. The optional 15-speaker, 660-watt Lexicon system in the G70 can make occupants feel like they’re sitting inside one of those studios. We think it’s truly excellent. This is standard in the 3.3T models and the 2.5T Prestige.
Blind-Spot View Monitor 
Better than regular blind-spot monitoring (which is standard across the 2026 G70 range), the Blind-Spot View Monitor shows images in the instrument cluster from side cameras. This provides greater reassurance when the driver is about to change lanes. Part of the 3.3T Sport Prestige package, this is one of those features we miss when we’re driving other cars.

Quality Interior

Although the G70 is a relative bargain, there’s no indication of that in the cabin. It’s furnished with high-quality materials and assembled to luxury-car levels. Standard equipment includes a dedicated touchscreen for the climate control system, USB-C ports, rear side airbags, and a frameless rearview mirror.
The G70’s 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen isn’t even the second biggest in the class, but it’s perfectly usable. Rear passengers will find that the 34.8 inches of legroom is probably adequate as long as they aren’t tall. They won’t find much more in any rival premium compact sedan. But the G70’s trunk area of 10.5 cubic feet is on the stingy side.

Admittedly, the luxury company sedan class is not as well-populated as it once was. If this was a battle, then the strongest contenders would be the last ones standing. The Genesis G70 is just such a contender. We could talk about how <a href="https://www.kbb.com/genesis/">Genesis</a> packs a lot of standard equipment into the G70, making it an intriguing value proposition. But it’s not just that. The G70 has plenty more going for it, like build quality, technology, class-best warranties, and the way it drives. A turbocharged 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine goes into the entry-level G70, developing 300 hp and 311 lb-ft of torque. The more muscular option is a twin-turbocharged 3.3-liter V6 creating 365 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque. In both cases, rear-wheel drive is the default setup, with all-wheel drive offered as an option. And all transmission duties are handled by an 8-speed automatic.
<h3>5-Year/60,000-Mile Warranty</h3>
The new-vehicle warranty from Genesis lasts five years or 60,000 miles, whichever happens first, with roadside assistance for five years at unlimited mileage. The powertrain is covered for 10 years or 100,000 miles. These terms are among the best in the industry. Genesis also includes three years or 36,000 miles of free scheduled maintenance.
<h3>Safety Ratings</h3>
The G70 was named a 2024 Top Safety Pick+ by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (<a href="https://www.iihs.org/ratings/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">IIHS</a>) &#8212; the institute’s highest accolade. It also took a top score of Good in an updated small overlap front impact test. Standard safety equipment includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.

We’re going to break this up into additions and subtractions. Capri Blue joins the list of paint finishes. The 2.5T models are now eligible for a beige interior color. Starting from the 2.5T with all-wheel drive (AWD), the G70 comes with a heated steering wheel. The 2.5T Prestige gains a 360-degree camera system (this system is standard in both 3.3T models), plus a new alloy wheel design, and the option of aluminum interior accents.
The power-operated trunk feature is no longer available in any 2026 G70, which we think is a mistake on the company’s part. Nor does any variant offer the nice Nappa leather upholstery/simulated-suede headliner combo. The 2.5T loses the Gray and Sport interior decor choices, while the 2.5T Prestige also bids farewell to alloy sport pedals, and the dark chrome grille treatment. The 3.3T no longer offers an adaptive suspension. Tasman Blue and Burleigh Blue fall off the list of paint finishes.
Last year’s 2.5T Sport Prestige trim is now just the 2.5T Prestige. And the previous 3.3T Sport Advanced trim has been discontinued.

The 2026 BMW 8 Series is a luxurious and powerful grand tourer, available in coupe, convertible, and 4-door Gran Coupe versions.

The 8 Series lineup begins with a fine engine that could easily be as muscular as most buyers will ever want. It’s a smooth 335-horsepower turbocharged 6-cylinder unit capable of propelling the 840i from standstill to 60 mph in a wonderfully entertaining 4.7 seconds. The 375-horsepower Mercedes-AMG SL 43 is a mere tenth of a second behind.
Things get faster and more powerful from there. Naturally, the V8s in the rest of the range all deliver breathtaking driving experiences accompanied by thrilling exhaust notes. We cover the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/bmw/m8/">high-performance M8</a> in a separate review.
For a large car of substantial weight, BMW has still managed to make the 8 Series enjoyable to drive. We’ve found it comfortable and civilized at low speeds, yet excitingly responsive to more eager throttle and steering inputs. Extra agility and maneuverability comes courtesy of the optional rear-wheel steering feature. In typical BMW fashion, the brakes feel strong and confident.
<h3>Fuel Economy</h3>
Neither body styles nor the number of driven wheels appear to have an effect on fuel economy. Every 840i version achieves 24 mpg in combined city/highway driving, which is excellent for this rarefied class. The more powerful versions deliver a still-respectable 19 mpg combined.
To compare, the Mercedes-AMG SL 43 achieves 22 mpg combined, and the most affordable Porsche 911 musters up 20 mpg combined.

Three Body Styles

The 8 Series is only about a foot shorter than the 7 Series large luxury sedan, so it’s bigger than many sports cars. In our opinion, though, the size and design give the 8 Series an exceptional presence.
More in the tradition of a grand tourer, the 8 Series offers the choice of a regular 2-door coupe, a convertible with a power-operated fabric roof, or a Gran Coupe with four doors which still looks sleeker than a 7 Series. Buyers considering the awesome 612-horsepower Alpina B8 should know that it comes solely as a Gran Coupe.

Live Cockpit Professional 
Otherwise known as a digital instrument cluster, it can be configured to the driver’s liking and is standard in every new 8 Series. We appreciate the system’s user-friendliness.
Full-color head-up display 
Projecting vital information onto the windshield directly in front of the driver, this feature is often found on options lists, but it’s standard in the 2026 8 Series.
Harman Kardon surround-sound system 
Another item typically offered as an option, this 16-speaker/464-watt setup is standard. We think it’s great, although true devotees of timbre and thunder may want to consider the next offering.
Bowers &amp; Wilkins audio 
Sending 1,400 watts of audible gloriousness through 16 speakers, this optional B&amp;W surround-sound system resonates with clarity and detail.
Glass shift lever 
It’s a bit of cosmetic frivolity, but this option is definitely a departure from the usual.
Alpina B8 Gran Coupe 
Once an independent tuning company specializing in BMWs, Alpina is being taken under the company’s metaphorical wing. Its creations are ordered through BMW dealers and come with the same factory warranty. The awesome 612-horsepower Alpina B8 Gran Coupe is a fine example of the tuner’s art.

Well-Appointed Interior

Even the most affordable new 8 Series comes with real leather upholstery, and not just for the seats, but also the armrests (which are heated) and covering the dashboard. This is an indication of how plush and well-appointed the 8 Series is in general. Other standard details include a power-adjustable steering column, soft-closing doors, ambient lighting, and navigation with over-the-air updates.
We’ve found that the front seats provide plenty of long-distance comfort. In the regular coupe and the convertible, rear accommodations are not so lavish. But they’re not meant to be &#8212; this is an 8 Series, not a 7 Series full-size sedan. However, the 4-door Gran Coupe comes with a tolerable 36.6 inches of rear legroom, about seven inches more than the coupe. We’ve noticed that rear headroom is still a bit tight, though.
No one buys an 8 Series for the trunk space, but there’s room for two sets of golf clubs in the convertible’s caboose, plus a couple of weekend bags either in the trunk and/or on the back seats. The coupe and Gran Coupe have more luggage space, around 15 cubic feet.

It still makes you go, “Yeah.” Or more like, “Yeeeaaahhh.” The BMW 8 Series has that effect on people. Because even if we didn’t know for sure that beneath the sleek exterior lies awesome engines, precise suspensions, and fine cabin materials, we’d still be completely surprised if that wasn’t the case. The 8 Series oozes prestige and power, while steering clear of the usual large luxury sedan conservatism. Launched for the 2019 model year, the future of this current generation looks uncertain, but we’re grateful <a href="https://www.kbb.com/bmw/">BMW</a> has kept it going for this spin around the sun.

Engine & Transmission

Six cylinders or eight, what a great decision to ponder. The 840i models use a turbocharged 3.0-liter 6-cylinder engine developing a perfectly fine 335 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. These cars have rear-wheel drive (RWD) as standard. All-wheel drive (AWD) is known as xDrive in BMW-ville and is optional with this 6-cylinder engine, or standard across the rest of the range.
Beyond this point, we enter a world of excess. The M850i xDrive bolts two turbochargers to a 4.4-liter V8 to achieve 523 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque. The Alpina B8 Gran Coupe takes that engine and boosts it to 612 horses and 590 lb-ft of torque.
All versions of the 2026 8 Series employ 8-speed automatic transmissions.
<h3>4-Year/50,000-Mile Warranty</h3>
BMW’s new-vehicle warranty (including powertrains) lasts four years or 50,000 miles, whichever happens first. These terms are typical in the luxury sector, especially among German manufacturers. BMW also includes three years or 36,000 miles of complimentary scheduled maintenance.
<h3>Safety</h3>
The 8 Series hasn’t been tested by any independent agencies, but that’s common for such high-end/low-volume cars. BMW’s standard set of advanced safety features includes forward collision warning with pedestrian detection and low-speed automatic emergency braking, post-crash braking, driver fatigue monitoring, plus automatic seat belt tensioning and window closing if an accident is imminent.

There are no significant changes to the 2026 BMW 8 Series this year.

The 2026 Kia Sportage compact SUV boasts stylish looks, impressive tech, and great value.

With 187 horses at your command, the Sportage’s horsepower numbers are typical for its class. And like its competitors, that power is enough for the everyday tasks most drivers will be doing in their Sportage. It’s eager around town, adept at getting up to speed on the highway, and quick to shift thanks to Kia’s use of an 8-speed automatic transmission, rather than the continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) commonly found in rivals.
For adventurous buyers seeking to travel beyond the asphalt, the Kia X-Pro Prestige benefits from all-terrain tires along with standard all-wheel drive.
We’ll also take a moment to praise Kia’s adaptive cruise control system, and rejoice that it is now standard in all 2026 Sportage models, just as it is in rivals like the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, Subaru Forester, and Mazda CX-5. We’ve tested them all, and always appreciate how easy it is to engage Kia’s system and how well it works. This is all the truer in SX, SX Prestige, and X-Pro Prestige models, whose systems also incorporate navigation to anticipate changes in road geography.
Fuel Economy
The 2026 Kia Sportage is estimated to return 28 mpg combined for front-wheel-drive models and 26 mpg for all-wheel-drive variants. Those numbers lag the Honda CR-V’s mpg by two miles each and trail the Nissan Rogue up to 5 mpg in both configurations. Of course, if you want a more efficient Kia Sportage, you can look to the Kia Sportage Hybrid that earns up to 43 mpg combined, or the Sportage Plug-in Hybrid that can travel up to 34 miles on battery power alone. The all-new 2026 Toyota RAV4 will come standard as a hybrid, though fuel economy estimates remain unreported at this time.

Striking Exterior

It seems we’re in a golden age of compact SUV design. All that designed-by-committee stuff seems behind us, now that we have striking lookers like the current Kia Sportage. This year, the front end design gets a modest tweak that really works, broadening the grille to give the 2026 Sportage a wider stand and more pronounced presence. Also new is the daytime running lights that have changed from a boomerang shape to more sophisticated pattern that rises, angles, then swoops back again, like a fancy numeral seven. Tucked between the angles are Kia’s signature “star map” lighting treatment of LED clusters. We dig it.

Dual displays 
Now standard on all models, these 12.3-inch screens (one for the driver, one for the infotainment system) are set into a single panoramic unit and contribute to the Sportage cabin’s contemporary feel.
Wireless charging 
Standard on the EX trim and up, we simply like the convenience and the tidiness.
Drive Wise 
This is the name of Kia’s set of driver aids. We’ve noticed how well things like adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assistance work in the Sportage, as they do across the company’s portfolio.
Powered tailgate
Standard in the EX and higher trims, this power tailgate comes with programmable heights and can open automatically when it detects the key nearby.
Harman Kardon audio 
Standard from the SX trim level and optional in the X-Line trim, we’re always happy to see — and hear — a Harman Kardon system. They’re often found in BMW vehicles, so that’s how posh Kia can be.
Blind-Spot View Monitor 
Coming in at the SX Prestige level and optional in the X-Line, this adds real-time video down either side of the Sportage (depending on which direction the turn signal is going), giving drivers a greater awareness of traffic when chasing lanes or turning.

Premium, Spacious Cabin

Although a member of the compact SUV class, the Sportage is heading toward midsize territory. Its spacious cabin either matches the ever-popular and well-regarded Honda CR-V or slightly outdoes it. The 2026 Sportage only improves for even buyers looking to spend the least amount of money, as the generous 12.3-inch touchscreen is now standard on the base LX trim, which formerly housed an 8-inch unit.
Overall, we’ve found the Sportage’s interior to be one of the most impressive in its class. From the slightly curved panoramic screen that spans the dash and the layout of buttons and controls to available upscale features like ventilated front seats, almost everything works cohesively and intuitively. It also boasts a fair bit of ingenuity. For example, when not being used to hold drinks, the center console’s cup holder area can transform into a storage place for larger items.
Then there’s the one control that can adjust either the audio volume or the cabin temperature, depending on which function is selected. We applaud the idea and the intention of keeping things as tidy as possible, but we’d gladly accept dedicated controls for each function because we don’t want to think about those modes when driving.
In the back, there’s a generous 41.3 inches of rear legroom, and the rear cargo area is 39.6 cubic feet behind the rear seats. When the rear seat is folded, it expands to a truly impressive 74.1.

The Kia Sportage is the brand’s best-selling model, and it’s easy to see what attracts so many buyers to this compact SUV. First, it’s attractive, with a design that automatically makes it stand out. Yet the merits of the 2026 Kia Sportage go way beyond skin deep. This SUV is packed with technology, boasts an unbeatable warranty, has among the most cargo room in its class, and has easy driving manners. All of these traits enable the Sportage to be an overachiever.

While even the base LX is nicely equipped, for our money, we’d step up to at least the EX or the popular X-Line trim. Moving up just one trim level to the EX brings features like a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, dual-zone climate control, blind-spot monitoring, wireless phone charger, panoramic sunroof, and auto-sensing windshield wipers. That’s a whole lot of stuff for just $1,800 more. Moving to the X-Line brings standard all-wheel drive, darkened aesthetics, and opens the door for further options.
At its starting price, the Sportage continues to undercut competitors like the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/honda/cr-v/">Honda CR-V</a> and <a href="https://www.kbb.com/toyota/rav4/">Toyota RAV4</a>, and is in line with rivals like the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/chevrolet/equinox/2024/">Chevrolet Equinox</a>, <a href="https://www.kbb.com/nissan/rogue/">Nissan Rogue</a>, and Kia’s cousin, the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/hyundai/tucson/">Hyundai Tucson</a>.

Engine and Transmission

The regular Sportage SUV (not the hybrid or plug-in hybrid) employs a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine making an adequate 187 hp and 178 lb-ft of torque. This engine is connected to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is the default setup; all-wheel drive is either optional or standard in the X-Line and X-Pro versions.
5-Year/60,000-Mile Warranty
Kia offers unbeatable warranties. New-car coverage is five years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first (a typical warranty here is three years or 36,000 miles). The powertrain warranty lasts 10 years or 100,000 miles, much better than most competitors.

Power, Ride, And Handling

For 2025, the Lexus LX 600 is joined by the new LX 700h hybrid. The LX 600 is no slouch, to be sure, with 409 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque on tap to drive all four wheels through the full-time 4-wheel drive (4WD) system. Strong acceleration and smooth shifts from the 10-speed automatic transmission help the large and luxurious LX feel athletic despite its mass.
The new LX 700h takes everything up a notch, boosting output to 457 hp and a substantial 583 lb-ft of torque. Despite the extra pep, the LX 700h is a bit more efficient than the LX 600 thanks to the hybrid system.
New for 2025 is the Overtrail grade, which adds significant off-roading equipment upgrades and hardware. For now, it’s only available on the LX 700h, but the LX 600 does have the option of the F Sport Handling package, which upgrades the suspension tuning and electronics and enhances the aesthetics for a more sporty vibe.
In our time behind the wheel of the LX, we’ve found it to be comfortable to the point of being ponderous, at least on-road and in the non-Sport or Sport+ modes. The stiffer suspension settings help the LX feel more composed, and the F Sport Handling treatment puts the LX closer to a German luxury SUV feel.
Off-road, however, the LX’s compliant suspension and standard 4-wheel-drive system combine with the excellent engine and electronic controls to make a capable, easy-going vehicle. We expect the new Overtrail enhancements on the LX 700h to take the LX’s off-road capability even further.
Fuel Economy
The Lexus LX is a large, capable, luxurious SUV, so fuel economy isn’t exactly a top priority, and that shows in the numbers. The LX 600 gets 19 mpg combined, 17 mpg city, and 22 mpg highway. The new hybrid LX 700h improves that, but only slightly, with 20 mpg combined, 19 mpg city, and the same 22 mpg highway. The LX 700h’s improvement in around-town gas mileage comes even though the hybrid drivetrain is substantially more powerful than the gas-only model.
Compared to rivals, the LX’s roughly 20-mpg combined rating is on par with the BMW X7, which rates 18 to 22 mpg combined depending on the trim selected, and the Mercedes-Benz GLS, which rates 16-21 mpg combined.

Boxier and edgier in design than many of Lexus’ more flowing body lines, the LX nonetheless wears its styling well, especially considering its size. The overall effect is exactly as intended: Upscale luxury wrapped in a rugged, high-tech shell. The F Sport Handling trim adds a slightly more aggressive look, while the Overtrail adds to the LX’s ruggedness.

Hybrid power 
Although the standard twin-turbocharged V6 is plenty powerful, the new LX 700h hybrid powertrain is even more potent, yet it’s also a bit more efficient. A win-win for those who like power.
Lexus Safety System 3.0+ 
Even more advanced safety tech is standard for 2025, including dynamic radar cruise control, lane-keeping and lane-departure assist, road sign assist, smart high-beams, pre-collision avoidance with pedestrian detection, and more.
Lexus Interface infotainment 
The Lexus Interface infotainment system is a joy to use, thanks to its bright, easy-to-read screen and responsive system. It also features wireless smartphone integration and can be upgraded to an impressive 25-speaker Mark Levison audio system.
Ultra Luxury 
This range-topping trim comes with a hefty price tag, but it also delivers on what you pay for, with interior quality and features to rival any of the alternatives. Semi-aniline leather, diamond stitching, heated/ventilated/reclining rear seats, a power ottoman, and much more are available.
Overtrail 
An all-new grade for the LX, this one is only available on the LX 700h (at least for now). It adds a healthy dose of off-road ability through specialized equipment, but also makes the look a bit more rugged. Among the upgrades: front and rear electronically locking differentials, a skid plate, and 33-inch all-terrain tires on 18-inch wheels.
F-Sport Handling 
All LX models come with an electronically locking center differential, but the F-Sport Handling grade also gets a limited-slip rear differential, which adds to the model’s engaged, dynamic feel and helps make the most out of the suspension upgrades. We also like the look of the F-Sport Handling’s unique dark gray metallic 22-inch wheels.

With the well-deserved reputation <a href="https://www.kbb.com/lexus/">Lexus</a> enjoys for making beautiful, quiet, and comfortable cabins, it’s no surprise the LX’s interior is all three. Even the base model is well-equipped and nicely fitted with high-grade materials, but the Ultra Luxury shines as the jewel of the lineup, at least as far as interior design and features go – there’s a powered ottoman in the rear, if you can believe it. Whichever trim you choose, you’ll get very comfy seats, especially up front.
The LX’s cabin is also fairly roomy, at least in the first two rows. It boasts 36.6 inches of second-row legroom, about an inch less than in the BMW X7. The Mercedes-Benz GLS, however, has 41.9 inches of second-row legroom.
The LX’s cargo space is good in 2-row form, with 46 cubic feet behind the second row, within a few cubic feet of the competition. As a 3-row SUV, however, the LX has just 11 cubic feet behind the third row. The X7, for comparison, has about 13 cubic feet, while the GLS has about 17 cubic feet.
If you’re looking for easy-to-use technology, the LX has you covered with a 7-inch climate and vehicle control screen plus a 12.3-inch infotainment screen. Wireless smartphone integration and device charging are standard equipment, as are Thematic Ambient lighting, second-row manual sunshades, and a Cool Box compartment to keep things cool while the vehicle is running.

Large, luxurious, and with a new hybrid variant available, the Lexus LX is a truly premium family vehicle. Two- or three-row seating for up to seven passengers, the latest technology, and genuine off-road capability put the LX in good stead, competing against some of the best SUVs in the world, including the Land Rover Range Rover, BMW X7, and Mercedes-Benz GLS. The 2025 Lexus LX has two powertrains available. The LX 600 uses a 3.4-liter turbocharged V6 engine rated at 409 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque. The LX 700h uses a version of the same V6 but adds a hybrid system for a total output of 457 hp and 583 lb-ft of torque. Both versions feature full-time 4-wheel drive, an electronically locking center differential, and a 10-speed automatic transmission.
4-Year/50,000-Mile Warranty
The Lexus LX has a 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty and a 6-year/70,000-mile powertrain warranty, which is somewhat better coverage than most of its luxury competitors’ offerings.
Safety
