The 2026 Chrysler Voyager is powered by a 287-horsepower 6-cylinder engine matched with a 9-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive (FWD). This engine is perfect for a minivan. There’s no shortage of power, making the Voyager easy to drive, even when loaded with passengers and cargo.
We found the Voyager&#8217;s driving comfort to be one of its strong suits. The pleasant ride quality makes it an accommodating family vehicle for dropping off kids at school and long-distance road trips alike.
Overall, driving the Voyager is something of a no-frills experience since it only comes in one budget-priced trim, but that’s not a bad thing if you just need simple and practical family transportation.
<h3>Fuel Economy</h3>
The Chrysler Voyager gets a very average <a href="https://fueleconomy.gov/feg/make.shtml" target="_blank" rel="noopener">EPA</a>-estimated fuel economy rating of 19 city/28 highway/22 combined mpg. That rating is identical to that of the Honda Odyssey and slightly better than that of the non-hybrid version of the Kia Carnival.
A conventional hybrid powertrain is standard in the Toyota Sienna and optional in the Kia Carnival. The Sienna gets up to 36 combined mpg, and the hybrid Carnival returns 33 combined mpg. Meanwhile, Chrysler’s Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) can go up to 32 miles on a full charge and returns 30 combined mpg with a depleted battery.

The exterior design of the Chrysler Voyager is the same as the pre-facelift Pacifica that came out in 2017. Although it’s been around for a while, it’s a nice-looking van that’s aging well. It’s only available in white, black, and red, and there’s only one wheel option. You’ll have to upgrade to the Chrysler Pacifica if you want more visual variety.

We love the user-friendly Uconnect infotainment system in the Voyager. It has a 10.1-inch screen, SiriusXM, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Stow ’n Go seating 
The Chrysler Voyager comes standard with the handy Stow ’n Go seating system. The second- and third-row seats can fold flat into the floor, giving you tons of cargo space without the hassle of removing any seats from the van.
Super Console 
The standard Super Console in the Voyager provides cupholders, charge ports, a covered storage area, and a pass-through between the front seats, creating an open, airy feel and the ideal spot for a purse.
Safety tech 
The Voyager delivers the peace of mind families expect from a minivan with standard safety features like automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, and blind-spot monitoring.
Passenger comfort

Black Caprice leatherette seats trimmed in Light Diesel stitching come standard in the Chrysler Voyager. They look and feel a little nicer than cloth seats, plus, they’re easier to clean.

Family-Friendly Interior

Interior

The interior of the Chrysler Voyager is nice enough, considering its modest price. Effectively, the Voyager LX is the budget-friendly base trim of the Chrysler Pacifica, and that’s what it feels like inside. Leatherette upholstery is standard, which we prefer over cloth since it’s easier to clean, and the contrast stitching adds a little extra visual flair. We’ve liked this interior since the Pacifica debuted in 2017, and it’s aging pretty well, even against more modern rivals.
Designed with families in mind, the Voyager comes standard with Stow ’n Go seating; the second- and third-row seats can fold flat into the floor. Transforming the Voyager from a passenger van to a cargo van is nearly effortless, without having to remove heavy seats and find a spot for them in the garage. Stow ’n Go is our favorite feature that’s unique to Chrysler. No other brand sells a minivan with fold-flat second-row seats.
However, there’s one downside to the standard Stow ’n Go seating. Since second-row captain’s chairs are mandatory, you can’t get a Voyager with eight seats; the Chrysler Voyager seats up to seven total. If you want to maximize the people-carrying capacity in your minivan, the Toyota Sienna, Honda Odyssey, and Kia Carnival are all available with eight-seat configurations.
When those seats are in place, there’s no bad one in the Voyager. You get 39 inches of second-row legroom; even the third row is adult-friendly with 36.5 inches of legroom. That’s more third-row legroom than the Kia Carnival, but the Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna boast over 38 inches of legroom in the way back. Minivans are all about family hauling, and the Voyager is at the top of its game in this regard.
As for the vast cargo space, dimensions of 32.3 cubic feet behind the third row, 87.5 cubic feet behind the second row, and 140.5 cubic feet behind the third row are close to the average for a minivan. The Voyager has more cargo space than the Toyota Sienna and much more cargo space than any midsize 3-row SUV.

This engine’s performance and fuel economy are typical for a V6-powered minivan. More efficient options include the hybrid-powered Toyota Sienna or Kia Carnival and the plug-in hybrid variant of the Pacifica.
The Pacifica/Voyager has best-in-class towing, but only by a little bit. It can pull up to 3,600 pounds, and its three big rivals all have a 3,500-pound tow rating.

The Chrysler Voyager is backed by a 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty and a 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty. That coverage matches the Odyssey and Sienna, but the Kia Carnival has a 5-year/60,000-mile basic warranty and a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty.

A stylish subcompact SUV, the 2026 Buick Envista is a sound pick for a nimble urban people hauler.

More horsepower, please! The Envista employs a turbocharged 3-cylinder engine making 137 horsepower (a bit lower than the segment average) and 162 lb-ft of torque (a bit higher). The 3-cylinder configuration renders it a bit coarser than the 4-cylinder units more common in the segment, and we found power delivery can be just a tad uneven in some situations, but overall we argue the Envista is responsive and quick enough for its real-world applications.
Combined with crisp steering and braking — and its subcompact footprint — the Envista is a pleasantly nimble way to navigate the city. It&#8217;s also smooth enough on the highway — on par with most subcompact SUVs — while Buick’s Quiet Tuning with active noise cancellation makes it among the quietest.
Fuel Economy
The Envista achieves 30 mpg in combined city/highway driving, which is about average for the class. To compare, the Honda HR-V manages 28 mpg combined, while the Hyundai Kona and Kia Seltos return 31 mpg combined.

Head-Turning Exterior

The Envista’s front-end design was inspired in part by the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/car-news/buick-to-go-all-electric-by-2030/">Buick Wildcat electric vehicle concept</a>. To our eyes, this is a successful look. The rest of the body seems more influenced by the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/bmw/x4/">BMW X4</a>, Sportback versions of Audi SUVs, or any other SUV with a sloping roof — as opposed to the conventional squared-off method. It definitely turned more heads than most other subcompact SUVs in our real-world testing.

Wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto 
We always like to see cable-free phone integration, simply for the convenience. It’s standard in the new Envista.
Wireless phone charging 
Standard in the top Avenir, optional in the other two trims, this is another handy feature that also serves to keep the cabin tidy.
Powered rear liftgate 
So handy when your hands are full. Standard in the Avenir, optional elsewhere.
Wi-Fi 
This comes as standard in the Avenir, though it’s not available in any other trim.
Moonroof 
Optional in the top two trims, we find it adds an airiness to the cabin.
Heated steering wheel 
Another standard feature in the Avenir, we’ve enjoyed having it on cooler California nights, so imagine how great it would be on cold Michigan mornings. On that note, we found the heated seats to be of the extra-strength variety.

Upscale Cabin

The Envista&#8217;s interior design is stylish and contemporary, big screens are standard across the lineup, and the back seat has more legroom than most subcompact SUVs. The Envista&#8217;s interior is <a href="https://www.kbb.com/car-news/lets-take-a-look-inside-the-buick-envista/">definitely among its strengths</a>. Sure, there are some cheap plastics throughout, but it&#8217;s important to remember this is a subcompact SUV with an affordable starting price, even if it does wear a Buick badge. And while the Honda HR-V features nicer materials and greater refinement, for instance, it doesn&#8217;t offer an 8-inch digital instrument cluster and an 11-inch touchscreen as standard.
Similarly, 38.7 inches of rear legroom is great for the subcompact SUV class. Unsurprisingly, 37.3 inches of rear headroom is on the low side due to that sloping roof, but one of our 6-foot editors found ample clearance.
Cargo space of 20.7 cubic feet behind the rear (60/40 split/folding) seats compares quite well to some rivals. That space more than doubles to 42 cubic feet when those seats are down. If cargo space is a priority, though, check out the Kia Seltos with its 26.6 and 62.8 cubic feet.

The 2026 Buick Envista embraces the notion that a subcompact SUV can be more than just affordable urban transportation. Designers didn’t phone in the exterior composition that is not only attractive but quite stylish. When on the inside looking out, we are always impressed by the serene quiet of the cabin. Well considered and carefully executed, the interior design is upscale with big screens, comfy seats, and a surprising amount of rear-seat space. Moreover, a highly competitive price and solid fuel economy conspire to make the Envista a relatively low-cost proposition.

3-Year/36,000-Mile Warranty
Buick’s new-vehicle warranty lasts three years or 36,000 miles, whichever happens first. Powertrains are covered for five years or 60,000 miles. This is all typical among mainstream manufacturers, but Kia and Hyundai have better terms. Roadside assistance is also provided for five years or 60,000 miles, and the first maintenance service is free.
Safety Ratings
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (<a href="https://www.iihs.org/ratings/">IIHS</a>) performed its current battery of crash tests on the Envista to mixed results. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (<a href="https://www.nhtsa.gov/ratings">NHTSA</a>) awarded it an overall 4-Star score, with 5-Star being the highest. The Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid features a 260-horsepower powertrain matching a V6 engine with a pair of electric motors. A continuously variable automatic transmission and front-wheel drive (FWD) are standard. Unlike the non-hybrid Pacifica, all-wheel drive (AWD) is not an option with the hybrid.
The Pacifica Hybrid has the advantage of instant electric torque from a standstill. Its performance isn’t as punchy as its non-hybrid counterpart because of the extra weight and lower horsepower rating, but it’s still adequate for family hauling duties. The trade-off with the hybrid is much better efficiency with slightly weaker performance.
We found driving comfort to be one of the Pacifica’s strong suits. For dropping off kids at school and long-distance road trips alike, the pleasant ride quality of the Pacifica makes it an accommodating family vehicle.
Most plug-in hybrids offer the driver a choice of running on just electricity, just gas, or a hybrid combination of the two. The Pacifica Hybrid isn’t one of them; you’re stuck with whatever settings the van decides for you. This can be a good thing if you don&#8217;t want to think about the fuel source while you’re driving, but we like being able to set a PHEV to just gas power on long highway drives or just electric power in short jaunts around town.
<h3>Fuel Economy</h3>
The Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid has an all-electric range of up to 32 miles with a full charge. When the hybrid battery runs out, it operates as a gas-electric hybrid with an admirable combined fuel economy rating of 30 mpg.
The non-hybrid Chrysler Pacifica gets 22 combined mpg with front-wheel drive and 20 mpg with all-wheel drive. According to EPA estimates, the hybrid’s fuel cost is almost half that of the non-hybrid Pacifica with front-wheel drive, a savings of about $83 per month.
Chrysler estimates charging the hybrid battery takes about 12 hours with a regular household outlet. On a Level 2 charger, it only takes about two hours.
This class has two conventional hybrids: the hybrid-only Toyota Sienna and the Kia Carnival with its optional hybrid powertrain. They’re both more efficient than the Pacifica Hybrid with a depleted battery (36 mpg and 33 mpg, respectively). However, when you factor in the Chrysler’s ability to run on electricity alone, the Pacifica Hybrid has a higher efficiency rating and lower estimated fuel costs than its hybrid rivals.

Classy Exterior

The Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid has a nice look with stylish wheels, a sleek light signature, and practical features like sliding doors. A stylish new 100th Anniversary Edition brings Luster Gray polished wheels and Granite Crystal exterior trim to help keep this van looking modern, even though it hasn’t gotten a full redesign since 2017. This is a minivan the kids (and the driver) won’t be embarrassed to climb out of.

32-mile electric range 
The Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid has about half the fuel costs of the non-hybrid Pacifica. Thank its plug-in hybrid powertrain, which can achieve up to 32 miles of all-electric range. Depending on your driving habits, that could mean rare trips to the gas station.
Luxurious Pinnacle trim 
The Chrysler Pacifica Pinnacle is one of the most luxurious minivans on the market. Features like quilted Nappa leather upholstery, lumbar pillows in the second row, Berber carpet, premium audio, and what Chrysler calls the Ultra Console make this a luxury vehicle with family-friendly seating for seven.
Uconnect infotainment system 
We love the user-friendly Uconnect infotainment system in the Pacifica. It comes standard with a 10.1-inch screen, SiriusXM, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Uconnect Theater 
The Uconnect Theater is optional on the Select trim and standard on the Pinnacle model. It consists of two screens behind the front headrests with built-in Amazon Fire TV.
Safety tech 
The Pacifica delivers the peace of mind families expect from a minivan with standard safety features like automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, and blind-spot monitoring.
100th Anniversary Edition 
Chrysler is commemorating the brand’s centennial with a special 100th Anniversary Edition of the Pacifica and Pacifica Hybrid. It’s effectively an appearance package for the Select trim with Luster Gray polished wheels, gloss black and semi-gloss Granite Crystal exterior trim, and &#8220;Est. 1925&#8221; branding.

Premium Interior

We love the modern amenities and technologies in the spacious interior of the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. This van is available with premium features like Nappa leather seating, a Harman Kardon premium audio system, and wireless phone charging. On the more practical side, you can also get a built-in vacuum cleaner, an in-car camera system called “FamCam,” and a rear entertainment system with Amazon Fire TV built in that got a rousing endorsement from our young passengers in our testing.
Of note, the famous Stow ‘n Go second-row seats of the non-hybrid Pacifica are unavailable in the hybrid. The third row can still fold flat into the floor, but you don’t get the perk of fold-flat second-row seats since there’s a battery in the way. However, we commend the Pacifica Hybrid for delivering the same generous legroom and cargo space as the non-hybrid, just without that handy under-floor storage in the middle.
You get 39 inches of second-row legroom; even the third row is adult-friendly with 36.5 inches of legroom. That’s more third-row legroom than the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/kia/carnival/">Kia Carnival</a>, but the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/honda/odyssey/">Honda Odyssey</a> and Toyota Sienna boast over 38 inches of legroom in the way back. In our testing, the Easy Tilt second-row captain’s chairs made the third row easier to access, even with child car seats installed.
As for the vast cargo space, dimensions of 32.3 cubic feet behind the third row, 87.5 cubic feet behind the second row, and 140.5 cubic feet behind the first row are close to the average for a minivan. That’s more cargo space than the Toyota Sienna and significantly more cargo room than any midsize 3-row SUV.

The Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid has the distinction of being the only plug-in hybrid <a href="https://www.kbb.com/van-minivan/best-minivans/">minivan</a>. Other than the all-electric <a href="https://www.kbb.com/volkswagen/id-buzz/">Volkswagen ID.Buzz</a>, which is smaller and more expensive, the Pacifica Hybrid is the most fuel-efficient competitor in the minivan class. It’s capable of traveling up to 32 miles on electricity alone, and it returns an impressive 30 mpg in combined city/highway driving with a depleted battery. It also comes with much of what we love about the regular Pacifica, like a family-friendly interior, one of our favorite infotainment systems, and luxurious accommodations in the upper trims.
We’ve spent hundreds of hours driving and evaluating this generation of minivans, including the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid.

The Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid has the highest starting price in the minivan class (unless we’re counting the electric Volkswagen ID.Buzz) because it’s the only plug-in hybrid minivan. There are two conventional hybrids in this segment, the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/toyota/sienna/">Toyota Sienna</a> and <a href="https://www.kbb.com/kia/carnival-hybrid/">Kia Carnival Hybrid</a>, which both start at a little over $40,000. For reference, the non-hybrid version of the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/chrysler/pacifica/">Chrysler Pacifica</a> starts at $44,460.
