The entry-level 2026 Model S has two electric motors generating a hefty 670 hp, and all four wheels receive drive. Electric motors create instant torque, like flipping a switch (who would have thought?). So the Model S can leap off the line as if struck by lightning &#8212; which it is, in a way. The regular Model S is fast and fun, zipping from a standstill to 60 mph in only 3.1 seconds. That’s 0.3 of a second quicker than the 620-hp Lucid Air Touring.
The Plaid (with three motors) is even more extraordinary, developing a mighty 1,020 hp to hit 60 mph in a claimed 1.99 seconds. Back when the Model S was ground-breaking, a gasoline engine with more than 1,000 hp and a zero-to-60-mph time below three seconds would have been the preserve of something like a Bugatti Veyron, costing many times more than the Model S Plaid does now. Then there were the gasoline bills.
That doesn’t exactly make the Model S Plaid a bargain, but it certainly puts automotive power into the hands of more people. The rest of the car is able to keep up. The Model S is controlled and comfortable, with a standard adaptive suspension contributing to easy-going daily driving duties and lively dynamics whenever the driver demands them. We’d describe the Porsche Taycan as sportier, and the Mercedes-Benz EQE sedan as smoother, with the Tesla Model S in between. Smoothness is enhanced this year, however, thanks to suspension improvements.
<h3>Range and Charging</h3>
The maximum range of the most affordable new Model S, the All-Wheel Drive version, is an impressive 410 miles (on 19-inch wheels), up from last year’s 402. A comparable Lucid Air Touring is capable of 406 miles. The high-powered Model S Plaid can still manage a respectable 368 miles, an increase of 20 miles.
At a <a href="http://Tesla Supercharger">Tesla Supercharger</a> or other DC fast-charging station with a 250-kilowatt supply, the Model S can replenish up to 80% of its capacity in as little as 30 minutes. Most rivals also have DC fast charging capabilities with similar times. Remember that the Model S has an above-average range, so its 80% represents more miles than most of the competition. The well-established Tesla Supercharger network also goes a long way in easing range anxiety.

Distinct Exterior

The Model S established Tesla’s design language back in 2012. Its sharp lighting signature and aerodynamic body remain distinct today. The exterior styling is revised for 2026, with minor tweaks and new wheel designs improving aero efficiency, resulting in a new maximum range of 410 miles. The nose also gains a forward-facing camera. Body changes to the high-performance Model S are said to improve stability at faster speeds. The latest paint choice is Frost Blue Metallic, costing $2,500.
We’d be remiss, however, if we didn’t also mention the notorious build quality issues plaguing Tesla models over the years. Owners have reported uneven panel gaps, paint flaws, and loose weather strips while the cars are still relatively new. At the very least, buyers should inspect any Tesla thoroughly before signing for delivery.

Impressive range 
For most of its existence, the Model S has been the benchmark for how many miles it can travel before needing to recharge, otherwise known as range. Many rivals are still falling short, while the Model S is one of the few that can break the 400-mile mark.
Partial self-driving tech 
The standard Autopilot system bundles common features like automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assistance, and adaptive cruise control. Enhanced Autopilot adds Navigate on Autopilot, automatic lane changing, automated parking, and Smart Summon. Full Self-Driving Capability (which requires an alert driver, despite the name) adds Autosteer on city streets, plus automatic stop/go at traffic lights and stop signs.
Tesla Superchargers 
The company owns a national network of fast-charging stations, so road trips are a distinct possibility. Tesla vehicles can also be replenished by other chargers, using an adaptor.
Large screen 
The centerpiece of the Model S interior is the 17-inch touchscreen. It controls almost every function of the car and can even do streaming and gaming, so the time will fly by while charging.
Over-the-air updates 
Improvements in range and power, plus things like map updates, are all possible after the Model S has been purchased.
Sentry Mode 
An active camera system can send alerts to an owner’s smartphone if their parked Model S senses someone loitering too close, for example.

Sparse Interior

The dashboard of the Model S is more of a glorified infotainment touchscreen mounting bracket than any source of design flair. But at least the driver has a dedicated instrument cluster. The touchscreen itself is large (17 inches on the diagonal), with crisp graphics and fast responses — it’s a video gamer’s delight for when there’s some time to kill while recharging. Tesla allows Netflix and Hulu streaming as well.
A yoke-style steering wheel is standard, which is frankly a bit awkward (although it got the thumbs-up in a couple of our owner reviews). We recommend ordering the conventional round alternative at no extra cost.
At this price level, we feel the cabin of the Model S should be plusher than it is, with a higher level of fit and finish. After all, it’s competing with Mercedes-Benz and Audi, masters of luxury. The good news this year is that Tesla has added extra sound insulation and improved the car’s Active Noise Cancellation.
Occupant space is mostly fine, although 35.5 inches of rear legroom is not much more than the compact Model 3. The Model S is quite wide, though, so there’s plenty of leeway for hips and shoulders.
The body’s hatchback design provides plenty of luggage space: 25 cubic feet behind the rear seats, expanding to 61.4 cubic feet when folded flat. We also appreciate the wide aperture that helps to make easy work of loading and unloading. Beneath the hood is another 3.1 cubic feet of storage space.

Most of our owner reviews have only good things to say, despite some well-known issues with build quality and servicing. Pricing - Static

Unless the intention is to go really, really fast, we recommend the more affordable and popular entry-level version with all-wheel drive (AWD). It’s still speedy enough for most people and has the best range.
The Touring version is the first in the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/lucid/air/">Lucid Air</a> sedan lineup to have all-wheel drive, almost matching its Model S counterpart in range (406 miles) while undercutting its price. The breathtakingly quick Lucid Air Sapphire competes performance-wise with the Plaid, but costs more than twice as much. We also suggest looking at offerings from more established marques, like the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/audi/a6-sportback-e-tron/">Audi A6 Sportback e-tron</a>, <a href="https://www.kbb.com/bmw/i5/">BMW i5</a>, <a href="https://www.kbb.com/mercedes-benz/mercedes-eq-eqe/">Mercedes-Benz EQE</a> sedan — all beginning slightly below the Model S. The <a href="https://www.kbb.com/genesis/electrified-g80/">Genesis Electrified G80</a> is in that same bracket.

Tesla informs owners that the best way to preserve battery life is to keep the car plugged in when not in use. Even if the owner doesn’t plan to drive it for a while (such as when away on vacation). That’s because it will periodically perform systems checks.
<h3>4-Year/50,000-Mile Warranty</h3>
Tesla’s basic new-car warranty lasts four years or 50,000 miles, whichever happens first. This is a common arrangement among luxury cars. The batteries and drive units have warranties of eight years or 120,000 miles.
Based on what we read and hear from owners, experiences with the reliability and maintenance costs of Tesla models have been mixed. Some have reported long wait times at service centers and poor parts availability. If you live in an area with many Tesla EVs on the road but only a few service centers, there could be some frustrations when your Model S needs attention.
<h3>Safety Ratings</h3>
The Tesla Model S hasn’t been crash-tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (<a href="https://www.nhtsa.gov/ratings" target="_blank" rel="noopener">NHTSA</a>) since 2016, but it received a maximum 5-Star overall rating back then. More recent testing by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (<a href="https://www.iihs.org/ratings" target="_blank" rel="noopener">IIHS</a>) earned the top score of Good in every crashworthiness category except the new small overlap front impact scenario, where the Model S received an Acceptable rating.

Maximum range increases by eight miles to 410, so this is the Tesla with the longest range yet. The Plaid is now rated at 368 miles. The suspension has been improved for ride quality, the cabin is quieter, and Frost Blue Metallic joins the palette of paint choices. The Plaid version’s top speed drops from 200 mph to 149 mph.

The 2025 Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo is an all-electric luxury car with a metaphorical twist in its tail.

Power, Ride, and Handling

The 2025 Taycan Cross Turismo offers a choice of drivetrains, each with dual electric motors and all-wheel drive (AWD). The 4 has 429 hp and, using launch control, will sprint from a standstill to 60 mph in a brisk 4.5 seconds. That all sounds great and more than adequate. However, we’re talking about Porsche here, so there’s always a chance for greater muscle and higher speeds.
Like the 4S, for example, that zaps the 60 mph mark in 3.6 seconds, thanks to 590 hp. Then come the Turbo models, which don’t actually have turbochargers, but we interpret this as Porsche’s way of saying “exceptionally powerful.”
The regular Turbo has a considerable 871 hp and hits 60 mph in only 2.6 seconds. Or the Turbo S shaves 0.2 of a second from that time with its immense 938 hp. All these power figures are the maximum available when using launch control.
As well as speed, the Taycan Cross Turismo is also adept at handling — containing and channeling all the forces created by such energy-rich motors. An adaptive air suspension is standard, with settings stretching from comfortable to sporty. The optional Porsche Active Ride suspension will smooth out bumps as if they didn’t exist and perform the same electro-hydraulic magic on body roll, acceleration squat, and braking dive. Rear-wheel steering is also available, and we think it’s well worth the investment because it helps make the Taycan Cross Turismo feel nimbler through the turns and more maneuverable in tight spaces.
<h3>Range and Charging</h3>
The best range of 277 miles is achieved by the entry-level Cross Turismo 4. The 4S manages 272 miles, the Turbo comes in 265 miles, and the Turbo S manages 261 miles. These are all with Performance Battery Plus. There aren’t any other all-electric luxury wagons for direct comparison, although the Tesla Model S (with a hatchback) has a maximum of 402 miles. But as we’ve said before and will no doubt say again, no one buys a Porsche Taycan just for its range.
According to Porsche, charging the battery from 10% capacity to 80% takes 18 minutes on a DC fast charger’s highest setting. That’s a few minutes faster than last year, even though the Taycan Cross Turismo was already no slouch. Using a home charger with a 240-volt supply, a full recharge takes about 9.5 hours, which is fine for overnight replenishment.

Revised Exterior

This Taycan Cross Turismo variant brings a wagon-like practicality (and, dare we say, coolness) to the rear end. It also has SUV-like plastic cladding on the sides, and a maximum ground clearance of 6.9 inches at the standard air suspension’s highest setting. That’s still not a lot for the road less graveled, but at least there’s a choice between this and the other <a href="https://www.kbb.com/compare-cars/results?vehicleIds=456462|456477|456491|456463/">Taycan variants</a>.
At 16.3 feet, the Taycan Cross Turismo is only about half an inch longer than its sedan stablemate. This year, Porsche has tweaked the overall styling of the Taycan lineup with new matrix-design LED headlights and taillights, sleeker front fenders, and new aerodynamic wheel designs. Charging ports are now on both sides, which is wonderfully convenient. The company also offers a broad choice of paint colors, including the option of matching to a customer-supplied sample.

Wireless phone integration 
Cable-free Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard across the 2025 Taycan lineup. This year, Apple CarPlay goes even deeper into the car’s systems. There’s also a cooled wireless charging pad. And a new In-Car Video feature allows streaming in the center and front passenger screens.
Porsche Intelligent Range Manager 
A new standard feature in the 2025 Taycan, this will calculate the most energy-efficient route, taking into account factors like real-time traffic and any charging requirements along the way.
Remote Park Assist 
By using a phone app, drivers can control their Taycan Cross Turismo with this optional feature, slotting it into (or out of) parallel or perpendicular parking spaces while standing outside.
InnoDrive 
Otherwise known as Porsche’s adaptive cruise control. It’s linked to the navigation system, taking topography and curves into account, as well as sensing traffic around the vehicle, and keeping the car in its lane. This is optional in the 2025 Taycan Cross Turismo.
Variable Light Control 
Available with the panoramic glass roof, it can darken or lighten the glass electronically.
Plug &amp; Charge 
Plug &amp; Charge means that as you connect to a charger, the system recognizes your Taycan Cross Turismo and uses the credit card information on file for a simple and streamlined process.

Spacious Interior

We’ve found the Taycan to be roomy enough for four adults. It offers a small rear center seat as an option. We’re also impressed by the quality of the cabin materials, the fit and finish, plus the combination of luxury and technology.
The Cross Turismo has a cargo space advantage over its regular sibling, with 15.8 cubic feet behind the rear seats (as opposed to 14.3), expanding to 42.8 cubic feet when those seats fold down. And all Taycan models have an additional 2.9 cubic feet of stowage under the hood.

OK, so the Taycan can’t compete with many electric vehicles in terms of maximum range. But it does have a <a href="http://www.kbb.com/porsche/">Porsche</a> badge on its hood, and that means a lot. Like some of the most sublime driving experiences a driver is ever likely to, um, experience. Think of this car as going boldly into the new electric age while retaining Porsche’s traditional values. Then think of this Cross Turismo variant as a somewhat quirky alternative with the ability to raise its ride height a bit, as well as offer extra cargo space thanks to a wagon-ish addition to the rear end. It’s an electric family car, but aimed at the more well-to-do families.

In the absence of any like-for-like competition, we suggest looking at rivals with hatchbacks instead of trunks, such as the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/tesla/model-s/">Tesla Model S</a> or the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/audi/s6-sportback-e-tron/">Audi S6 e-tron Sportback</a>, both beginning far below the Taycan Cross Turismo. Or perhaps the high-luxury <a href="https://www.kbb.com/mercedes-benz/mercedes-eq-eqs/">Mercedes-Benz EQS</a> that also undercuts this Porsche, albeit by a smaller amount.

A lighter battery goes into the 2025 Taycan Cross Turismo, with better thermal management and the ability to charge at higher currents than before. When using an 800-volt charging station, the rate is 320 kilowatts, up 50 kW from last year. To optimize charging speeds on a 400-volt network, Porsche also adds a 150-kW DC/DC converter as standard. The Performance Battery Plus also increases in gross capacity from 93 kilowatt-hours to 105 kWh (97 kWh net)
<h3>4-Year/50,000-Mile Warranty</h3>
Porsche’s new-vehicle warranty lasts four years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. This includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The battery is covered for eight years or 100,000 miles. These arrangements are typical among European luxury vehicles.
<h3>Safety Ratings</h3>
Neither sedan nor Turismo (wagon) versions of the Taycan have been crash-tested by any agencies in the United States, but an independent European test program (Euro NCAP) gave the car a maximum overall score of five stars.

The Taycan launched for the 2020 model year, so <a href="https://www.kbb.com/car-news/2025-porsche-taycan-better-in-every-way-and-youll-pay-for-it/">now’s the time for a mid-generation revamp</a>. For example, the entry-level Taycan 4 Cross Turismo was capable of 235 miles last year. This year, it’s rated at 277 miles. Muscle is also boosted in the top Turbo S model, from 750 to (gasp) 938 horsepower. The 4S version goes from 562 to 590 hp.
Standard equipment expands to include a heated steering wheel, ambient cabin lighting, Lane Change Assist, and various other items.

The 2026 Toyota Camry is powered by a 225-horsepower hybrid 4-cylinder engine matched with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) and front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. When you opt for all-wheel drive, the net output increases to 232 hp.
There are few cars in the whole automotive world that strike the just-right balance of performance and efficiency quite like the Toyota Camry. This hybrid powertrain has enough juice for on-ramp sprints and highway passing with the ability to return over 50 mpg. What more could you want from an engine in a daily commuter?
The Camry’s suspension brings a little poise and agility to an otherwise comfort-focused setup. We reckon Camry owners past and present will be pleasantly surprised by this extra nimbleness, especially if they choose all-wheel drive for optimum grip. The SE and XSE models have a sportier suspension tune, yet we’d say they’re still comfortable enough for most tastes.
In general, body roll is kept to a minimum, and we enjoyed taking the Camry a little quicker than usual through the turns. As always, the Camry feels easy to drive. The beltline is low, contributing to excellent outward vision, which adds to the confident feeling in the car.
In addition to highway driving assist features, which are expected in new models in this class, the Camry has what <a href="https://www.kbb.com/toyota/">Toyota</a> calls Proactive Driving Assist (PDA). PDA brings some of that semi-autonomous tech to city driving by assisting with gentle braking and steering when the car’s camera and radar systems find it necessary. These small favors from the car take some of the stress out of busy city driving and, in our experience, just make the whole driving experience a little more relaxed.
<h3>Fuel Economy</h3>
The hybrid 2026 Toyota Camry returns up to 53 city/50 highway/51 combined mpg. Only the base LE trim achieves a combined fuel economy rating of 50 mpg or higher, no matter the number of drive wheels. The higher trims with and without all-wheel drive range between 44 and 47 combined mpg.
According to <a href="https://fueleconomy.gov/feg/make.shtml" target="_blank" rel="noopener">EPA</a> estimates, the difference in monthly fuel costs between the most efficient and least efficient versions of the Camry is about $12, so don’t be too dissuaded by the lower efficiency ratings of the higher trims.
Compared to other midsize hybrid sedans, the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/honda/accord-hybrid/">Honda Accord Hybrid</a> gets 44-48 combined mpg, and the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/hyundai/sonata-hybrid/">Hyundai Sonata Hybrid</a> gets 47 combined mpg. The Camry is the most efficient hybrid sedan in its class and is the only one available with all-wheel drive.

Handsome Exterior

We think the recently redesigned Camry looks smooth, upscale, and contemporary, making it more of a competitor against highly stylish contenders like the Hyundai Sonata and Kia K5. The XSE also offers the option of a two-tone paint scheme that includes a roof finished in metallic black. Meanwhile, the new-for-2026 Nightshade Edition adds a dark and moody aesthetic to this sensible sedan.

Toyota Audio Multimedia 
Whether it’s the smaller screens in the lower trims or the 12.3-inch examples in the pricier variants, each one has attractive graphics and quick processing speeds. Wireless phone integration and wireless charging are standard throughout.
All-wheel drive 
Toyota offers an all-wheel-drive setup with an extra electric motor driving the rear axle, kicking in whenever conditions demand. It’s the only hybrid sedan in its class with this option.
Proactive Driving Assist 
The standard Proactive Driving Assist (PDA) system helps with gentle braking and steering in city driving, enhancing safety, comfort, and convenience in every commute.
Digital Key 
Owners can authorize other people to access and drive their Camry using a phone app. It’s part of the Premium Plus package.
JBL audio 
Here&#8217;s another reason to select the optional Premium Plus package offered with the two higher trims. JBL is a highly respected name in sound reproduction, and we think it’s a worthwhile upgrade if your budget allows it.
Head-up display 
Available as an option in the XSE and XLE, this feature shows vital information on the windshield within the driver’s line of sight. Once more common in luxury cars, we welcome technology like this trickling down to the mainstream.

Practical Interior

The Toyota Camry is a family sedan through and through, which means the interior is roomy and comfortable in front and back alike. We’ve found the front seats to have a nice width and enough support and cushioning to be comfy on long-distance drives. We also noticed hushed road noise in the XLE and XSE trims, thanks to the noise-reducing acoustic front glass.
An 8-inch central infotainment screen and a 7-inch digital gauge cluster are standard. A 12.3-inch central display is standard on XLE and XSE models and optional on the SE and Nightshade Edition. We like this system; it’s user-friendly and includes standard wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay across the board.
The rear seats have generous space with 38 inches of legroom and enough width for two adults to sit back there without getting too cozy; a middle seat is present if you need one. A rear center armrest with cupholders is standard in every midsize sedan, but we still appreciate this simple comfort feature in the Camry. Trunk space measures 15.1 cubic feet, which is about average for this class.
While the Toyota Camry has no shortage of space, it’s worth mentioning that the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/honda/accord/">Honda Accord</a> (and its respective hybrid variant) has almost three more inches of rear legroom and a slightly bigger trunk. Neither sedan feels tight or cramped, but extra space is a notable advantage of the Camry’s oldest rival.

Few cars fulfill the duties they’re made for as well as the Toyota Camry, which is why it’s the reigning champ of our <a href="https://www.kbb.com/awards/best-buy-awards-2025-toyota-camry-midsize-car/">Best Buy Award</a> in its class. With an efficiency rating of up to 51 mpg, the best safety scores a car can receive, class-leading resale value, and available all-wheel drive (AWD), it’s hard to find any fault at all in the Camry as a sensible and practical midsize sedan. SUVs have been winning many hearts and minds (and dollars) in recent years, but American families who still prefer a humble sedan will find just about everything they need in the Camry.

2026 Toyota Camry Pricing

We expect the 2026 Toyota Camry to start at about $30,000 for the base LE trim. A well-equipped XSE model should begin at around $36,000. Expect to pay about $1,600 extra for all-wheel drive on any given trim. This is a low starting price for a hybrid midsize sedan, but most of its non-hybrid rivals have similar starting prices.

Engine and Transmission

Every 2026 Camry has a hybrid drivetrain. The combustion engine is a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder unit augmented by an electric motor for a total of 225 hp with the default front-wheel-drive arrangement or 232 hp when all-wheel drive is in the picture, which adds another electric motor for the rear axle. Every Toyota Camry routes power to the wheels via an eCVT automatic transmission.
<h3>3-Year/36,000-Mile Warranty</h3>
The Toyota Camry is backed by a 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty and a 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty. This coverage is typical for this class. Hybrid components have an 8-year/100,000-mile warranty, and the hybrid battery is protected for 10 years/150,000 miles. Toyota also includes two years/25,000 miles of free scheduled maintenance, plus two years of roadside assistance with unlimited mileage.
<h3>Safety</h3>
This generation of the Toyota Camry has earned the coveted Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (<a href="https://www.iihs.org/ratings" target="_blank" rel="noopener">IIHS</a>), and it gets the top 5-Star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (<a href="https://www.nhtsa.gov/ratings" target="_blank" rel="noopener">NHTSA</a>). These are the two top safety honors that a car can receive, bolstering the Camry’s credentials as a safe family car.

After a one-year hiatus, a <a href="https://www.kbb.com/car-news/2026-toyota-camry-gains-darkened-nightshade-edition/">Nightshade Edition rejoins the Toyota Camry lineup</a> for 2026 following a full redesign for 2025. It’s essentially an appearance package for the SE trim that adds black exterior trim and 19-inch black wheels. Also, the hazy blue Dark Cosmos paint option joins the color palette.

The Kia Carnival is a minivan that looks like an SUV and boasts the best warranty and cargo room in its class.

The 2026 Kia Carnival is powered by a 287-horsepower V6 engine matched with an 8-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. Even when full of passengers, we’ve found the Carnival offers ample acceleration. Except for the notably slower hybrids in this class (Toyota Sienna and Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid), the Carnival’s merging and passing power is on par with the rest of the minivan segment.
We found the Carnival well suited for family hauling duties. We’ve tested it (full of children) running errands around town and on longer highway trips and came away impressed with no complaints.
The automatic transmission shifts gears sweetly, the steering is easy yet precise, and the brakes feel confident without being too sharp. Meanwhile, the suspension has a just-right balance of comfort and agility for a family hauler.
<h3>Fuel Economy</h3>
The Kia Carnival is rated at 21 combined mpg, one mpg worse than the Honda Odyssey and the front-wheel-drive, non-hybrid version of the Chrysler Pacifica. The hybrid Toyota Sienna is much more efficient at 36 mpg, and the Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid can travel up to 32 miles on electricity alone and gets 30 mpg once the battery has been drained. Meanwhile, the hybrid version of the Carnival returns 33 combined mpg.

SUV-Like Exterior

Revamped styling from last year evokes Kia’s futuristic approach with its <a href="https://www.kbb.com/kia/ev9/">EV9</a> all-electric 3-row SUV. Both vehicles get the thumbs-up from us. The Carnival is distinct from other minivans because of its SUV-like look, yet it still has practical minivan aspects, such as sliding side doors. And the kind of ride height that makes strapping a child into their special seat much easier than hoisting them up into a higher SUV. It’s little day-to-day details like these that help to make the Carnival such a great family vehicle.

Highway Driving Assist 
Keep an attentive hand on the wheel, and the Kia Carnival can do much of the steering, braking, and accelerating in various traffic conditions. No minivan does it better.
Quiet Mode 
From the EX level and up, the audio system has a Quiet Mode, which pipes sound through just the front speakers. This feature is great when little ones (or even big ones) are napping in the back.
Driver &amp; Passenger Talk 
This clever intercom system facilitates communication with your rear-most passengers without raising your voice.
Dual Panoramic Displays 
The upper trims of the Kia Carnival come with a 12.3-inch infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster with beautiful graphics, an intuitive interface, and connectivity features like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Slide-Flex seating 
The 8-seater EX and SX models have this feature. The center seat in the second row can slide forward, making it easier to reach a child sitting there. When not used to accommodate someone, this seat can turn into a table when needed.
VIP lounge seats 
The SX Prestige comes exclusively with a second-row VIP lounge setup, featuring heated/ventilated seats that slide, recline, and activate leg extensions — all at the push of a button or a voice command. Keep in mind these particular seats aren’t removable, though.

Big Interior

The Kia Carnival’s cabin is roomy and well-appointed. At either end of the lineup, the LX and SX Prestige models accommodate seven. The LSX, EX, and SX trims have seating for eight as standard. The Carnival features sliding/removable second-row and reclining third-row seats that fold into the floor.
The SX Prestige comes exclusively with second-row VIP lounge seats that slide and recline while also having leg extensions — all at the push of a button. These seats are comfy but not removable if you need extra cargo space.
We’ve tested the Carnival with child car seats and can confirm they’re easy to install. It’s also pretty easy for kids to climb into the third row, especially with second-row captain’s chairs. However, we found that the optional rear entertainment system screens — mounted on the backs of the front seats — can create a bit of an obstacle to third-row entry and exit.
The available dual panoramic displays, consisting of two 12.3-inch screens, create a high-tech look and feel from the front seats of the Carnival. As is often the case in Kia models, the infotainment system is straightforward and user-friendly, and we love that Android Auto and Apple CarPlay come standard.
Interior space is important to minivan shoppers, and the Kia Carnival has a lot of it. At 35.6 inches of third-row legroom, it’s about on par with the Chrysler Pacifica, while the Toyota Sienna and Honda Odyssey have more room in the third row. However, the Carnival is the king of cargo space, with 40.2 cubic feet of room behind the third row and 145.1 cubic feet of max cargo room behind the first row. These cargo dimensions are good even by minivan standards, and it’s dramatically more cargo room than any <a href="https://www.kbb.com/comparison/midsize-3-row-suv-comparison/">midsize 3-row SUV</a>.
