VinFast has recalled 6,314 VF 8 SUVs from model years 2023-2025 because their steering wheels can move unexpectedly, risking an accident.
The company tells federal safety regulators that a software calibration error can cause driver assistance systems to turn on suddenly during wide turns. The system can “provide steering inputs that are difficult for the driver to override.”
VinFast will fix the problem with a software update.
