Toyota Teases All-New Tundra “Soon”

The Toyota Tundra full-size pickup is due for an update. It’s coming soon, the company says. Toyota has released a single teaser photograph and a short video revealing little more than the truck’s lights. The company says an “all-new Tundra” is “coming soon.”

The image shows a pair of inverted L-shaped headlights that appear pushed to the far corners of the front fascia, along with a set of lower LEDs that may be fog lamps and some sort of light treatment inside the grille itself. You can almost make out the shape of the greenhouse above the grille. It tells us little about the truck itself.

The current Tundra was released in 2007 and refreshed in 2014. Since then, most of its major rivals have been redesigned. Toyota has said that it is working on both hybrid and fully-electric pickup designs, but we don’t know whether the Tundra lineup will include either one at launch.

Ford is expected to unveil its all-electric F-150 Lightning pickup later this week.
