Toyota has started revealing the 2027 Toyota Tundra with a selection of teaser photos of the brand-new Trailhunter trim.
All 2027 Tundras get spruced-up styling up front, with rectangular LED lights in the front bumper guard and an updated grille. RIGID fog lights are now an available option. The updated Tundra gets the newest version of the Toyota Audio Multimedia system with a new home screen and a built-in dashcam that can capture up to 20 seconds of video.
What’s New for 2027
The Tundra will come standard with Toyota Safety Sense 4.0, adding pre-collision assist with pedestrian detection, lane-departure alert with steering assist, full-speed adaptive cruise control, and Lane Tracing Assist for 2027. There will be a Remote Connect subscription that lets you start the truck with your phone’s native Digital Wallet.
New Trailhunter Trim
But the Trailhunter is the star here. Built on the SR5 trim, it comes with an Old Man Emu suspension, 265/70R 18 Michelin LTX Trail M&S all-season tires, and Bronze 18-inch wheels. It also comes with terrain control with drive modes, Crawl Control (which automatically controls your speed on the trail), front tow hooks, and more.
Pricing
While Toyota has not yet announced the MSRP, Toyota says, “Positioned at a more accessible price point, the Trailhunter package helps make adventure-ready capability more attainable for customers looking to get out and explore.” We expect the 2027 Tundra to go on sale in early 2027 with a relatively affordable starting price for a Tundra. They will announce specifications and more details in fall 2026.
