Toyota is recalling 86 Corolla sedans from model year 2026 due to headlights that fail to aim properly during use.
A report to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) states that the affected Toyota Corollas lack “optical axis marking,” and that “certain adjustments could increase glare to oncoming drivers or reduce forward visibility for the driver.”
The “optical axis marking” helps the headlights adjust appropriately during various driving conditions.
Toyota is not aware of any warranty claims, accidents, or injuries related to this recall.
Toyota dealers will replace both front headlight assemblies at no cost.
Owners with affected vehicles will be notified beginning April 12, 2026.
Vehicle recalls impact millions each year, and although automakers work hard to notify all affected owners, some individuals may still not receive the notice.
