Toyota Highlander Goes Electric

Grey 2026 Toyota Highlander

Toyota will soon reveal a new 2027 Highlander, and this time, it’s all-electric.

For years, the Highlander has been known for its 3-row layout, comfortable ride, and strong resale value.

Traditionally, the Highlander has used a gas engine, with hybrid options available. In 2025, hybrids, plug-in hybrids (PHEVs), and battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) accounted for almost half of Toyota’s sales across its lineup. The company plans to increase hybrid and electric vehicle (EV) production by 2028.

For now, all Toyota has revealed is the rear badge labeling the car a BEV. Two KBB experts are en route to an event where they hope to see the new vehicle in person. We’ll bring you more news soon.
