Tesla has recalled 172 Model Y SUVs from model year 2026 because they may be unable to wash their windshields.
The company tells the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that Model Y SUVs built between April 15 and April 20 of this year may have defective hoses feeding windshield wiper fluid to the nozzles. As a result, they can’t spray the fluid.
The company will fix the problem by replacing the defective components.
Recall repairs are always free.
Automakers recall many cars to fix safety defects, sometimes more than once. While automakers try to reach every owner to ask them to bring the vehicle in for repair, they rarely get them all. Millions of vehicles on American roads need free recall repairs. Check the easy VIN tool at our recall center to find out if your car is one of them.
