Tesla Recalls Cybertruck Over Too-Bright Parking Lights

The 2025 Tesla Cybertruck seen from a rear quarter angle

Tesla has recalled 63,619 Cybertruck electric pickups from model years 2024-2026 because their parking lights are too bright.

Federal law requires a car’s lights to meet certain brightness standards. If they’re too dim, drivers may not see well enough at night to drive safely. If they’re too bright, they can temporarily blind other motorists.

Tesla vehicles are largely controlled by software. The company can fix some safety issues remotely with software updates. In this case, Tesla says, it has already pushed out a software update that should fix the problem.
