SRT, Dodge’s performance division, has announced it is bringing back the Sublime color for certain models of the Challenger and Charger for 2019. The classic color will be available on the Charger Scat Pack, Charger SRT Hellcat, and Challenger Widebody models, and makes its return to the Challenger T/A color options list for the first time since 1970. Sublime first became available for most Dodges in the 1970 model year. It made brief comebacks in 2007 on a limited-edition Charger R/T Daytona, and was made available for all 2015 Dodge Challengers. Dealers can start ordering Sublime models in February.
The return of this color to the lineup comes in addition to other changes the Charger and Challenger receive for 2019. Dodge adds a new Challenger model, the 797-horsepower Hellcat Redeye, and the standard Hellcat now offers 717 horsepower. Both models feature a dual-snorkel hood. In addition, the R/T is now available as a Widebody. There’s also a new rear-wheel-drive Challenger GT that’s offered for the first time with Dodge’s 3.6-liter V-6 engine. Eight Challenger models are now available.
For 2019, there’s a new Charger SXT AWD model, as well as a GT rear-drive performance V-6 model. For the Scat Pack and SRT Hellcat models, performance upgrades come standard. Both benefit from Launch Assist and Line Lock and a new grille with dual air inlets. The R/T Scat Pack receives a new Launch Control switch, and the SRT Hellcat now gets Torque Reserve and an After-Run Chiller.
