Subaru has recalled 2,938 Forester Hybrid SUVs from model year 2025 because child seat anchor bolts may not have been tightened to the proper torque at the factory.

Over time, the company says, the bolts can work loose, leaving a child seat improperly secured.

The company is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to the problem. A dealership employee discovered it when inspecting a car.

Dealers will inspect all anchor bolts and, if necessary, tighten them to the specified torque to fix the problem.

Carmakers try to notify the owners of recalled vehicles, but those efforts aren’t always 100% effective. To check if your car is part of a recall, try our easy VIN check tool in our recall center.
