Honda has confirmed that it will present a refreshed version of the 2014 Civic Coupe at the SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) show next month in Las Vegas as well as outline other changes in store for the entire 2014 Civic lineup. The 2-door version of Honda’s best-selling compact did not receive the same exterior/interior enhancements last year as its 4-door sibling and this mid-cycle upgrade is expected to bring the sportier half of the family more into line with the Civic Sedan.

Although it provided no specific details, the automaker did release this single teaser image of a 2014 Honda Civic Si Coupe. It shows the hottest Civic offering gets a restyled rear fascia with new taillamps, a revised lower diffuser and a prominent raised decklid spoiler. Whether changes to the Si Coupe extend to its powertrain — currently a 201-horse VTEC 4-cylinder linked exclusively to a 6-sped manual transmission — remains to be seen. However, John Mendel, executive vice president of sales at American Honda, did promise that all Civics, including the Si Sedan, will get "significant upgrades that will make them even more fun-to-drive." We’ll know more on November 5th.
In addition to its other automotive displays, Honda also plans to show its 133-mph "Mean Mower" at SEMA. This seriously fast grass blaster developed by Honda UK and its British Touring Car Championship partner, Team Dynamics, will be making its first stateside appearance.
