Recall: Chevrolet Forgot Truck Owners’ Manuals

The 2026 Chevrolet Silverado in gray seen from a front quarter angle

Chevrolet has issued a recall for 3,408 Silverado 1500, 2500, and 3500 trucks from model year 2026. But owners won’t need to bring them to the dealership. This one can be fixed through the mail.

Chevrolet neglected to include owners’ manuals with the trucks.

A recall notice filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) says dealers will provide the missing manuals. So, it’s possible some could ask owners to swing by the dealership and pick up the book.

But we’ve seen this issue before. Most tend to mail it. Either way, it will be free.

By law, dealers never charge for recall repairs.

Manufacturers recall many cars, often more than once, during their lifespan. Automakers try to contact every owner but don’t always reach them all. Discover if your vehicle has any outstanding recalls with the easy-to-use vehicle identification number (VIN) tool at our recall center.
