Recall Alert: Porsche Cayenne, Cayenne Coupe

The 2024 Porsche Cayenne seen from a front quarter anglePorsche has issued a recall for about 3,000 Cayenne and Cayenne Coupe SUVs from model year 2024 because their hazard and parking lights may not function properly.

Porsche tells the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that a software error can make the lights inconsistent. A lighting control unit is programmed to function for “approximately five minutes” after the driver turns the car off. If the driver switches on the hazard or parking lights within 10 seconds after the unit deactivates, the rear lights won’t illuminate.

Dealers will fix the problem with a quick software update.
