Recall Alert: Lexus UX

2025 Lexus UX 300h F SPORT

Lexus has issued a recall for 141 UX hybrid SUVs from model year 2025 because they can unexpectedly lose drive power. The recall only applies to vehicles built on certain dates. But it can be hard to determine when a car left the factory, so owners may need to wait for a notification from Lexus to know whether their car is included.

Lexus tells the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that wires connected to the electronic control unit may be misrouted. Installed incorrectly, they’re bent at an odd angle and under more stress than they’re designed to handle.  Over time, when exposed to vibration during vehicle operation, the wires can break. That will cause a loss of drive power.

Dealers will replace the wire harness with a new one, careful to route it correctly, to fix the problem.

All recall repairs are free.

Automakers recall many cars to fix safety defects, sometimes more than once. While automakers try to reach every owner to ask them to bring the vehicle in for repair, they rarely reach them all. Millions of vehicles on American roads need free recall repairs. To find out if your car is one of them, check the easy VIN tool at our recall center.
