Hyundai is recalling about 167,000 Palisade SUVs from model years 2021-2023 because their windshield wiper motors can fail.
A circuit breaker powering the motors can trip when the motors strain to clear accumulated snow and ice, Hyundai says. Software will eventually reset the breaker, but the problem leaves the motors temporarily unable to move.
Dealers will fix the problem by installing a new wiper arm better designed to clear snow and ice, preventing the motors from straining and tripping the breaker.
