Fullsize Pickup Truck

Recall Alert: Ford F-Series, Super Duty

2021 Ford F-150

Ford has issued a pair of recalls affecting its lineup of full-size trucks.

The first recall concerns about 88,000 examples of its best-selling 2021 F-150, and 2020-2021 Super Duty trucks, which may have windshields improperly bonded to their frames. Dealers will remove and reinstall the windshield at no cost.

The second applies to about 10,000 2020 Super Duty trucks equipped with 6.7-liter engines. Those trucks may “display overstated payload capacity values on the tire and loading information label, overstated accessory reserve capacity values on the safety certification label, and overstated weight values on the truck camper loading documentation.”

This would not cause a problem during normal use. But this incorrect information could be dangerous if the trucks carry loads at full capacity. Dealers will replace the documentation and stickers with the correct information.

Notifications will be sent to owners next month. Ford is aware of no accidents or injuries related to either recall. Recall repairs are always free. Check whether your vehicle has been subject to any recalls with the easy VIN tool at our recall center.
